Entry Level Instructor Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level instructor job?
Entry level instructor roles typically look for candidates who can demonstrate teaching ability, not just subject knowledge. A portfolio of lesson plans, volunteer tutoring experience, or a practicum placement carries real weight at this stage. Tailoring your application to show classroom management awareness and clear communication skills gives you a concrete edge over candidates who rely on credentials alone.
Which companies hire entry level instructors?
Companies hiring entry level instructors right now include Tarleton State University, Keiser University, and Equinox, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a wide range of employers, including schools, training companies, tutoring centers, and corporate learning and development teams that actively recruit candidates who are newer to the role.
Are there remote entry level instructor jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by subject area and employer. About 7% of entry level instructor openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with online tutoring platforms and corporate training providers leading that share. On-site roles remain common in K-12 schools, community colleges, and hands-on technical training environments where in-person delivery is part of the job.
Are these new grad instructor jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior instructor roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internships or student teaching in place of paid work history, or explicitly invites candidates who can demonstrate ability through a portfolio rather than a lengthy resume. Searching for those signals helps narrow the right openings quickly.
Which industries hire the most entry level instructors?
Entry level instructor roles concentrate in Education, Healthcare & Medical Services, and Sports & Recreation, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at the entry level because they face steady demand for instruction, regularly onboard junior educators and trainers, and tend to invest in structured onboarding that makes them realistic starting points for candidates without extensive prior experience.
