Are you someone who likes to figure things out?
We’re looking for a smart, motivated, detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, analyzing information, and taking ownership of their work.
This is not a typical administrative position.
The person in this role will become an important part of our day-to-day operations and will work with insurance data, agent and broker information, commissions, reporting, reconciliations, Excel, accounting-related functions, and other business processes.
We’re looking for someone who doesn’t simply complete a task and move on. When something doesn’t look right, we want you to notice it, investigate it, figure out why it happened, and help determine how to fix it.
Over time, the right person will have the opportunity to take ownership of significant areas of responsibility and grow with the company.
What You’ll Be Doing
Your responsibilities will include a combination of insurance operations, commission management, data analysis, reporting, and accounting-related work, including:
· Managing and supporting day-to-day insurance operational processes
· Working with agent/broker, carrier, and commission data
· Reviewing and reconciling commission statements and payments
· Identifying discrepancies, missing commissions, and other issues and following them through to resolution
· Maintaining and analyzing detailed Excel spreadsheets
· Preparing recurring and special reports
· Researching information across multiple sources to resolve questions or discrepancies
· Assisting with commission accounting and other accounting-related responsibilities
· Maintaining accurate records and databases
· Monitoring deadlines and ensuring important processes are completed accurately and on time
· Identifying opportunities to improve processes and make work more efficient
· Creating and maintaining procedures and documentation
· Communicating with insurance carriers, agents/brokers, vendors, and internal team members
· Supporting management with projects, research, reporting, and other business needs
· Learning additional areas of the business and taking on increasing responsibility over time
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is smart, dependable, curious, and self-motivated.
You don’t need to know everything on day one. We can teach you our systems and processes. What we can’t easily teach is the ability to think critically, recognize when something doesn’t make sense, ask the right questions, and take initiative to find the answer.
You may be a great fit if you:
· Have experience in the insurance industry
· Have health insurance and/or Medicare experience
· Have experience working with insurance agents, brokers, carriers, or general agencies
· Have experience with commissions or commission accounting
· Have accounting, bookkeeping, reconciliation, or financial experience
· Are highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
· Enjoy working with numbers and large amounts of data
· Are naturally detail-oriented and notice inconsistencies
· Are comfortable researching an issue until you understand it
· Can work independently without needing constant direction
· Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
· Can manage multiple priorities and deadlines
· Are comfortable learning new software and systems
· Take ownership of your responsibilities and follow through
Experience That Would Really Stand Out
The following experience would be especially valuable:
Highly Preferred
· Health insurance or Medicare
· Insurance commissions
· Commission reconciliation/accounting
· Insurance agency or brokerage operations
· Advanced Excel
· Accounting/bookkeeping
A Plus
· Experience working with carrier commission statements
· Experience reconciling payments against expected commissions
· Experience with large data sets
· Experience creating management reports
· Experience identifying and correcting data/process errors
· Experience documenting and improving business processes
Excel Is Important
We’re looking for someone who is genuinely comfortable in Excel—not someone who simply knows how to enter information into a spreadsheet.
You should be comfortable working with formulas, sorting and filtering data, reconciling information, and using Excel to investigate and answer questions.
Experience with XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, IF statements, PivotTables, conditional formatting, data validation, and other data-analysis tools is strongly preferred.
If you’re the person who actually enjoys figuring out why two spreadsheets don’t balance, that’s a very good sign.
What Success Looks Like
Within the first year, our goal is for the person in this position to:
· Develop a strong understanding of our business and insurance operations
· Become knowledgeable about our commission processes
· Independently manage recurring responsibilities
· Identify and resolve issues without waiting to be told something is wrong
· Become a reliable resource for insurance, commission, and operational questions
· Improve existing processes when opportunities are identified
· Take ownership of increasingly important responsibilities
This position has the potential to grow significantly for the right person.
Compensation & Benefits
· Starting salary of approximately $55,000, depending on experience
· Full-time position
· Monday–Friday
· In-office position in Hampstead, NH
· Company benefits
· Paid time off
· Opportunity for professional growth and increasing responsibility
A Note About the Ideal Candidate
We would rather hire someone with strong analytical ability, initiative, and a willingness to learn than someone who checks every box on paper but needs to be told what to do.
If you’re the type of person who sees a problem and thinks, “Let me figure this out,” we’d like to hear from you.

Insurance Jobs in New Hampshire: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a insurance in New Hampshire?
To work as a licensed insurance professional in New Hampshire, you must obtain a producer license through the New Hampshire Insurance Department. The process requires completing a state-approved pre-licensing education course, passing the relevant lines-of-authority exam administered by Pearson VUE, and submitting a license application. Most roles in underwriting, claims, or agency work also expect a background in business, finance, or a related field alongside the license.
Which companies hire insurances in New Hampshire?
Companies currently hiring insurances in New Hampshire include APPS Paramedical, Comparion Insurance Agency, and Aflac, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. New Hampshire's insurance market also draws consistent hiring from regional carriers and independent agency groups anchored in the Manchester and Concord corridors.
Which New Hampshire cities have the most insurance jobs?
Concord, Bow, and Alton have the most insurance job openings in New Hampshire. Manchester drives the largest share as the state's commercial hub, where regional carrier offices and independent agencies are concentrated, while Concord adds volume through state regulatory and government-adjacent roles, and Nashua benefits from its proximity to the Massachusetts border and the larger employers that have settled along the southern tier.
Are there remote insurance jobs in New Hampshire?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 29% of insurance openings tied to New Hampshire are remote or hybrid as of November 2026, reflecting how much of the work is desk-based and systems-driven. Claims adjusting, underwriting support, and policy servicing roles are the most likely to offer fully remote or hybrid arrangements, while roles requiring in-person client meetings or on-site inspections remain largely on-site.
How can I get hired as a insurance in New Hampshire with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a licensed customer service representative or insurance service associate role at an independent agency or regional carrier in Manchester or Concord. Larger employers like Hanover Insurance Group offer structured training programs for new producers and claims trainees. Obtaining your New Hampshire producer license before applying gives you a meaningful edge, and roles in policy processing or agency support often serve as the bridge into underwriting or claims without prior industry experience.
Where can I find and apply to insurance jobs in New Hampshire?
You can find and apply to insurance jobs in New Hampshire on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from carriers, agencies, and managing general agents operating in the state. Find roles that match your license type and experience level and apply directly to the employers posting them.
