Finance Manager Jobs in New Hampshire: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a finance manager in New Hampshire?
A bachelor's degree in finance or accounting is the standard starting point, and most New Hampshire employers expect a CPA, CMA, or CFA credential for senior roles. New Hampshire does not require a state-issued finance manager license, but CPAs practicing in the state must hold a license through the New Hampshire Board of Accountancy. From there, the typical path runs through staff accountant or financial analyst roles before moving into management.
Which companies hire finance managers in New Hampshire?
Companies currently hiring finance managers in New Hampshire include BAE Systems USA, Ryder System, and Lonza, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Healthcare networks, defense contractors, and insurance carriers with New Hampshire operations are consistently among the most active employers for this role.
Which New Hampshire cities have the most finance manager jobs?
The cities with the most finance manager openings in New Hampshire are Nashua, Manchester, and Portsmouth. Manchester and Nashua anchor most of the demand as the state's largest commercial centers, home to corporate offices, regional headquarters, and hospital systems, while Concord draws openings through state government agencies and insurance sector employers clustered near the capital.
Are there remote finance manager jobs in New Hampshire?
Yes, and more than many management roles, since finance manager work is largely analytical and reporting-based. About 60% of finance manager openings tied to New Hampshire are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how well the role adapts to distributed work. Financial planning and analysis positions tend to be the most remote-friendly, while roles requiring oversight of on-site accounting teams or local audit functions are more likely to require in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a finance manager in New Hampshire with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is landing a financial analyst or staff accountant role first, then building toward management over two to four years. Large New Hampshire employers like Dartmouth Health and BAE Systems hire entry-level analysts and rotational finance associates who can grow into manager roles. Earning a CPA through the New Hampshire Board of Accountancy or completing a CMA certification signals readiness for management-track positions and gives candidates a concrete edge in a competitive market.
Where can I find and apply to finance manager jobs in New Hampshire?
You can find and apply to finance manager jobs in New Hampshire on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers across the state. Search the available roles, find the ones that match your background and preferences, and apply directly to whichever listings fit.
