Job Overview
Location: Okemos, MI | Full-Time | Remote Option Available After Training
As an Insurance Sales Representative with Farmers Insurance - Nikolai Jump Agency, you will be at the forefront of helping individuals, families, and businesses secure peace of mind by providing tailored insurance solutions. This role combines consultative sales, relationship management, and entrepreneurial initiative. You'll identify the unique needs of prospective and existing clients, educate them on coverage options, and guide them through the process of selecting the right insurance products to protect their assets and future.
You will work closely with a team of experienced professionals who will support your development through comprehensive training, hands-on coaching, and ongoing mentorship. Initially, you'll participate in in-person training to gain a strong foundation in insurance principles, product knowledge, sales strategies, and compliance standards. Once trained and licensed, you'll have the flexibility to work remotely and build your book of business from anywhere, supported by digital tools and resources.

Salary Range: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Requirements
- Must currently have an active Michigan Property & Casualty License or Personal Lines License.
- Willing to obtain Life license within 30 days of hire.
- Previous sales, customer service, or insurance experience preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and goal-oriented mindset.
- Comfortable using technology for virtual meetings, CRM systems, and remote communications.
- Must be available to attend in-person training at our East Lansing office for an initial onboarding period.
Responsibilities
- Contact and engage prospective customers to assess insurance needs and recommend appropriate products.
- Sell auto, home, life, and other personal lines of insurance.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through consistent follow-ups and customer service.
- Educate clients on coverage options and policy features.
- Process applications, manage policy changes, and ensure all compliance standards are met.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
- Meet or exceed sales goals and performance benchmarks.
