Junior Analyst Jobs in Hawaii: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a junior analyst in Hawaii?
Most junior analyst positions in Hawaii require a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a quantitative field. Hawaii does not require a state-issued license for most analytical roles, but candidates targeting financial services may benefit from pursuing FINRA registrations if their work involves securities. Large Hawaii employers, including state agencies and banking institutions, typically post entry-level openings for recent graduates with relevant coursework and proficiency in Excel or data tools.
Which companies hire junior analysts in Hawaii?
Companies currently hiring junior analysts in Hawaii include Ability Builders Consulting, MANTECH, and ProVision Solar, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hawaii's anchor industries in banking, utilities, healthcare, and state government mean that institutions with deep local roots tend to be the most consistent sources of junior analyst openings.
Which Hawaii cities have the most junior analyst jobs?
Honolulu, Hawaii, and Camp H M Smith are the Hawaii cities with the most junior analyst openings. Honolulu drives the largest share of postings given its concentration of financial institutions, state government offices, and corporate headquarters, while Kapolei and Hilo generate openings through utility operations, healthcare systems, and University of Hawaii campuses anchored in those areas.
Are there remote junior analyst jobs in Hawaii?
Yes, and more than most fields, since analytical work is largely desk-based and transferable to remote settings. About 67% of junior analyst openings tied to Hawaii are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting both local employer flexibility and mainland companies that hire Hawaii-based analysts. Data operations and financial reporting roles tend to carry the highest share of remote arrangements.
How can I get hired as a junior analyst in Hawaii with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to internship or associate analyst programs at Hawaii-based financial institutions such as Bank of Hawaii and First Hawaiian Bank, both of which run structured programs for candidates without professional experience. State of Hawaii executive branch agencies and the University of Hawaii System also post analyst-track roles that accept recent graduates. Candidates who build a portfolio of Excel models or data visualizations and earn an entry-level credential such as a Bloomberg Market Concepts certificate strengthen their applications considerably in Hawaii's competitive entry-level market.
Where can I find and apply to junior analyst jobs in Hawaii?
You can find and apply to junior analyst jobs in Hawaii on Migrate Mate, which lists current Hawaii openings sourced from employers across the state.
