Laundry Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a laundry in Florida?
Florida does not require a state-issued license to work in laundry roles, so the path to employment is straightforward. Most employers hire candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent and provide on-the-job training for equipment operation and chemical handling. Healthcare and hospitality employers, particularly hospital systems and large hotel groups, typically run brief orientation programs before placing new hires on the floor. Completing an OSHA safety or chemical handling course can strengthen a candidate's application.
Which companies hire laundrys in Florida?
Companies currently hiring laundrys in Florida include Healthcare Services, Aramark, and Marriott International, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Florida's year-round tourism economy and large healthcare infrastructure mean demand from hospitality groups and hospital systems stays consistent across the state.
Which Florida cities have the most laundry jobs?
The cities with the most laundry openings in Florida are Tampa, Orlando, and Miami. Miami and Orlando drive much of the volume because of their massive hotel, resort, and healthcare footprints, while Tampa's combination of hospital networks and a busy tourism corridor creates steady demand that extends into surrounding suburban markets like Clearwater and Brandon.
Are there remote laundry jobs in Florida?
Yes, but they're rare. Laundry work is fundamentally hands-on and tied to a physical facility, so nearly all roles require an on-site presence. About 6% of laundry openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and those positions tend to involve supervisory scheduling, linen inventory management, or operations coordination rather than direct equipment operation.
How can I get hired as a laundry in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is applying to large Florida hotel groups or hospital systems that hire attendants with no prior experience and train on site. HCA Florida and AdventHealth both staff high-volume linen services departments where entry-level hires learn equipment operation during paid orientation. Candidates coming from housekeeping, dishwashing, or food service have transferable physical stamina and facility familiarity that Florida hospitality employers value. Completing a basic chemical safety or OSHA course before applying gives a first-time candidate a visible edge.
Where can I find and apply to laundry jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to laundry jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings across hospitality, healthcare, and residential care settings. Find the roles that fit your location and experience level and apply directly.
