Marketing Executive Jobs in Louisiana: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a marketing executive in Louisiana?
Most marketing executives in Louisiana start with a bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or communications and build toward senior roles through progressive account, brand, or campaign management positions. Louisiana does not require a state-issued license for marketing executives. Employers in industries like energy, healthcare, and hospitality often value candidates with hands-on Louisiana market experience, familiarity with regional media channels, and a portfolio of measurable campaign results.
How much do marketing executives make in Louisiana?
Marketing executives in Louisiana earn a median of about $120,650 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $72,800 for the lowest 10% to over $208,180 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire marketing executives in Louisiana?
Employers hiring marketing executives in Louisiana right now include Capital City Press and DrHouse, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Louisiana's energy, hospital, and food-service sectors are among the most consistent sources of senior marketing openings in the state.
Which Louisiana cities have the most marketing executive jobs?
New Orleans, Lafayette, and Shreveport account for the greatest concentration of marketing executive openings in Louisiana. New Orleans drives volume through its hospitality, tourism, and consumer brand sectors, Baton Rouge through its energy and healthcare anchors, and Shreveport through its regional retail and media industries, making each city's openings a reflection of the employers headquartered or regionally managed there.
Are there remote marketing executive jobs in Louisiana?
Yes, and more than most fields, since marketing executive work is largely strategic and desk-based. About 100% of marketing executive openings tied to Louisiana are remote or hybrid as of November 2026, reflecting how much of the role can be done without a fixed office. Brand strategy, content leadership, and digital campaign oversight tend to be the functions most commonly offered on a remote or hybrid basis.
How can I get hired as a marketing executive in Louisiana with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a coordinator or specialist role in a Louisiana marketing department, then advancing to manager before reaching executive level. Large Louisiana employers like Ochsner Health and Entergy run associate and rotational programs that move early-career candidates through multiple marketing functions. Lateral moves from adjacent roles in public relations, communications, or sales are common. A portfolio of measurable campaign results, even from freelance or nonprofit work, gives candidates without corporate experience a clear edge.
Where can I find and apply to marketing executive jobs in Louisiana?
You can find and apply to marketing executive jobs in Louisiana on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Shreveport, and the broader state. Search roles that match your experience level and specialty, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
