Sales Executive Jobs in Louisiana: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales executive in Louisiana?
Most sales executive roles in Louisiana require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field, though some industries value demonstrated sales performance over formal education. Louisiana does not require a state-issued sales license for most industries, but roles in insurance require an active Louisiana Department of Insurance producer license, and real estate sales require a Louisiana Real Estate Commission license. Building a record in account management or territory sales within Louisiana's dominant sectors, energy, healthcare, and industrial distribution, is the most direct path to executive-level roles.
How much do sales executives make in Louisiana?
Sales executives in Louisiana earn a median of about $110,700 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $61,040 for the lowest 10% to over $217,600 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire sales executives in Louisiana?
Companies currently hiring sales executives in Louisiana include T-Mobile, Paychex, and Genesis Global, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Louisiana's concentration of energy producers, large health systems, and industrial distributors means demand for experienced sales professionals remains steady across the state.
Which Louisiana cities have the most sales executive jobs?
New Orleans, Metairie, and Shreveport lead Louisiana for sales executive openings. New Orleans generates the most volume as the state's commercial and healthcare hub, Baton Rouge draws openings from petrochemical, government, and financial services employers, and Shreveport's manufacturing and logistics base supports consistent demand in industrial and B2B sales roles.
Are there remote sales executive jobs in Louisiana?
Yes, and more than many fields, since a significant share of sales executive work centers on phone, video, and digital outreach rather than on-site operations. About 60% of sales executive openings tied to Louisiana are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting broader flexibility in the profession. Account management, inside sales, and SaaS-focused roles tend to offer the most remote options.
How can I get hired as a sales executive in Louisiana with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a sales development representative or account coordinator role, which large Louisiana employers in healthcare, energy, and financial services regularly post as stepping stones to executive titles. Ochsner Health and Entergy, for example, run structured onboarding programs that move entry-level sales hires into territory or account executive tracks. Earning a Louisiana Department of Insurance producer license before applying gives candidates in insurance sales a measurable edge. Lateral moves from customer service, operations, or marketing roles at Louisiana-based distributors and service companies are also common routes into sales.
Where can I find and apply to sales executive jobs in Louisiana?
You can find and apply to sales executive jobs in Louisiana on Migrate Mate, which lists current Louisiana openings updated in real time. Search the roles that fit your background, experience level, and preferred location within the state, then apply directly to the ones that match.
