Account Executive Jobs in Louisiana: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a account executive in Louisiana?
Most account executive roles in Louisiana require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, combined with prior sales or client-management experience. Louisiana does not issue a state license specifically for account executives, so the path runs through education, internships, and entry-level sales roles at regional employers in sectors like energy, healthcare, or logistics. Building familiarity with Louisiana's dominant industries gives candidates a clear advantage in a market where sector knowledge is valued.
Which companies hire account executives in Louisiana?
Employers hiring account executives in Louisiana right now include Netchex, Spectrum, and T-Mobile, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Louisiana's energy corridor along the Gulf Coast and its large healthcare systems generate particularly consistent demand for account executives with industry-specific backgrounds.
Which Louisiana cities have the most account executive jobs?
Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Covington lead Louisiana for account executive openings. New Orleans anchors demand through its hospitality, healthcare, and port-logistics sectors, Baton Rouge draws hiring from petrochemical and government-adjacent firms, and Shreveport supports openings tied to regional healthcare networks and industrial distribution companies serving northwest Louisiana.
Are there remote account executive jobs in Louisiana?
Yes, and they're more common than in many sales fields. About 79% of account executive openings tied to Louisiana are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the role's phone- and software-driven nature. The positions most likely to be fully remote are those tied to software, technology platforms, or national accounts where the client relationship is managed digitally rather than through in-person visits.
How can I get hired as a account executive in Louisiana with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is a sales development representative or inside sales role at one of Louisiana's larger employers in energy services, healthcare technology, or logistics. Companies like those anchored along the Baton Rouge industrial corridor or within New Orleans' healthcare systems regularly hire candidates with strong communication skills and train them on product and territory management. Completing a recognized sales certificate program and building a portfolio of measurable outcomes from internships or adjacent roles like customer success or account coordination strengthens an application considerably.
Where can I find and apply to account executive jobs in Louisiana?
You can find and apply to account executive jobs in Louisiana on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers across the state. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your experience and target industry, and apply directly to each listing that fits your background.
