INTRODUCTION
We're looking for a creative, hungry Junior Content Creator Intern to join our marketing team this summer. This isn't a shadowing role or a slide-deck-and-coffee situation. We're a fast-moving startup — things move quickly, priorities shift, and we expect you to keep up and thrive in that environment. You'll be in the mix from day one — creating real content that real people see, helping tell the stories of the home service pros who use Topline Pro, and building the kind of portfolio that shows impact. Do great work this summer and there's a real path to a full-time offer in the fall.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This role is based out of our Brooklyn, NY Office (300 Kent Ave, Brooklyn NY 11249) 4-5x a week in office.
What You'll Do:
- Create short-form video and social content. Shoot, edit, and publish content for Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn that's native to the platform and stops the scroll. You'll move fast and post often.
- Write copy that converts. Help with campaign copy, email, captions, and website content. Clear, punchy, on-brand — no fluff.
- Tell customer stories. Our customers — roofers, landscapers, painters, plumbers — do incredible work. You'll help capture and share it in a way that resonates.
- Support content operations. Contribute to the content calendar, flag what's performing, help repurpose long-form into short-form across channels.
- Bring ideas to the table. We'll ask for your take on what we should be creating and why. Come with opinions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- You're currently in school or just graduated. Marketing, communications, journalism, media — or you're just really good at this and can prove it.
- You love making content. Whether for a brand, a class, or yourself — you've created things and you can show us.
- You have strong instincts. You know what works on social and what doesn't, and you can articulate why.
- You write well. Clean, direct, and adaptable to different tones and audiences.
- You're comfortable on camera. You can hold your own in a video.
- You move fast. Deadlines don't scare you and quality doesn't slip when the pace picks up.
- Bonus: Canva, CapCut, Veed, Adobe, or similar tool experience. A personal social presence or content portfolio.
INTERVIEW PROCESS
- Apply online — You'll answer a few short questions and submit self-recorded video responses to our prompts. Film on your phone — we want to see how you think and communicate, not your production setup.
- Call with our marketing team member — A casual conversation with a member of the Topline Pro marketing team to learn more about you and tell you more about the role.
- Final call with the Hiring Manager — Our Head of Marketing will connect with top candidates to close out the process. 💡 We're hiring ASAP. Apply early.
COMPENSATION
- This role pays $1,000 a week through the duration of the internship.
OUR VALUES
- No Bullsh*t: We create meaningful results for our customers and drive growth for our team—ensuring progress and impact are felt every day. Our focus, both internally and externally, is on delivering genuine value rather than superficial solutions or benefits without purpose.
- Think Big, Learn Fast: We move quickly, acting on data to uncover insights and solutions. We embrace risks, knowing every experiment fuels growth—even when it doesn’t go as planned.
- One Team, One Dream: We tackle challenges together with creativity, and an open mind—always seeking solutions and embracing fresh ideas to win as a team.
- Empower Every Voice: We welcome diverse perspectives and bold ideas, creating space for authenticity and respect—because great ideas come from everywhere.
- Be an Owner: We take responsibility for outcomes, act in the company’s best interest, and treat every dollar as our own. We move with urgency, think long-term, and take pride in driving impact.
- Boom!: We take time to celebrate each other’s achievements, big and small—at work and in life—because shared success fuels lasting momentum. And we end all team meetings in a “Boom!”

Marketing Intern Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a marketing intern in New York?
Marketing internships in New York do not require a state-issued license or certification. Most employers expect current enrollment in a degree program in marketing, communications, advertising, or a related business field at a New York college or university such as NYU, Fordham, or CUNY. A portfolio of class projects, campus media work, or personal brand campaigns strengthens an application significantly in New York's competitive media and consumer brand market.
How much do marketing interns make in New York?
Marketing interns in New York earn a median of about $98,580 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $56,070 for the lowest 10% to over $165,920 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire marketing interns in New York?
Employers hiring marketing interns in New York right now include Peloton Interactive, Perry Ellis International, and AMOREPACIFIC, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. New York's dense concentration of media companies, consumer goods headquarters, and financial firms means intern openings appear across a wide range of industries, not just traditional advertising agencies.
Which New York cities have the most marketing intern jobs?
New York, New York City, and Brooklyn have the most marketing intern openings in New York. New York City dominates because it is home to the headquarters of major media conglomerates, consumer brands, and advertising agencies, while Albany and Buffalo generate openings through regional employers, state government communications offices, and growing startup ecosystems that rely on intern talent for content and campaign work.
Are there remote marketing intern jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most fields, since marketing intern work is largely desk-based and digital. About 28% of marketing intern openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how widely the role has shifted to distributed teams. The tasks most commonly done remotely are content creation, social media scheduling, email campaign drafting, and performance reporting.
How can I get hired as a marketing intern in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to structured internship programs run by large New York employers such as NBCUniversal, ViacomCBS, or major consumer goods companies, which specifically recruit students with no prior work history. Contributing to a campus newspaper, student-run social media account, or a personal brand project builds a portfolio that replaces experience. A Google Digital Marketing certificate or Meta Blueprint credential also gives New York hiring managers a concrete signal of readiness.
Where can I find and apply to marketing intern jobs in New York?
You can find and apply to marketing intern jobs in New York on Migrate Mate, which lists current New York openings updated regularly. Search the listings, find roles that fit your background and availability, and apply directly to each employer through the platform.
