Role Overview
The Content Marketing Manager will develop content that advances Harvey's brand and business goals across editorial, campaigns, and social. This person will turn company priorities, customer insights, and market opportunities into high-quality content, then work across teams to distribute it effectively and measure its impact. This is a role for a strong writer and editor who is equally comfortable shaping strategy and producing the work itself, and who can translate complex legal, technical, and product ideas into clear, compelling stories.
What You'll Do
Contribute to Harvey's editorial strategy and help execute the content roadmap set by the Head of Content and Social Strategy.
Write and edit content across formats, including website articles, guides, reports, thought leadership, social series, video scripts, and campaign copy.
Turn complex legal, technical, and product ideas into clear, compelling stories for Harvey's audiences.
Develop content-led campaigns in partnership with product marketing, demand generation, communications, social, and other teams.
Create distribution strategies that extend the reach and value of each major content asset.
Write planned social copy and captions connected to editorial content, campaigns, launches, and brand initiatives.
Partner with the SEO lead to apply search insights to content planning, development, and optimization.
Use audience and performance data to understand what is working and improve future content.
Maintain a consistent, distinctive Harvey voice across channels and formats.
Partner with Content Operations and Publishing to move work efficiently through production, review, and publication.
What You Have
5+ years of experience in content marketing, editorial, or a closely related discipline, ideally in B2B technology, SaaS, or professional services.
Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a portfolio that demonstrates range across long-form editorial, thought leadership, campaign copy, and social.
A proven ability to translate complex or technical subject matter into clear, engaging narratives for sophisticated audiences.
Experience contributing to an editorial strategy and delivering against a content roadmap, taking ownership of high-quality output end to end.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with a track record of partnering with product marketing, demand generation, communications, and social teams.
Familiarity with SEO fundamentals and comfort using search insights to shape content.
Fluency with content performance metrics and the judgment to turn data into better editorial decisions.
A sharp eye for brand voice and the discipline to maintain it consistently across channels and formats.

Marketing Manager Jobs in San Francisco: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a marketing manager job in San Francisco?
San Francisco's market favors candidates with experience in product-led growth, demand generation, or brand strategy tied to tech or fintech companies. Roles concentrate in SoMa, Mission Bay, and the Financial District, where high-growth startups and established platforms cluster. A portfolio showing measurable pipeline or revenue impact stands out here more than credentials alone, and familiarity with B2B SaaS or consumer app go-to-market cycles gives candidates a clear edge.
Which companies hire marketing managers in San Francisco?
Employers hiring marketing managers in San Francisco right now include Google, Airwallex, and Adobe, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. San Francisco draws a mix of publicly traded tech firms, venture-backed startups, and global consumer brands, all of which hire marketing managers at multiple seniority levels throughout the year.
Are there remote marketing manager jobs in San Francisco?
Yes, though it depends on the role. Strategy, content, and digital marketing manager positions tend to be remote-friendly, while roles tied to events, field marketing, or in-person brand activations are typically on-site. About 67% of marketing manager openings tied to San Francisco are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with the highest share concentrated in B2B SaaS and fintech companies headquartered in SoMa and the Financial District.
How can I get a marketing manager job in San Francisco with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in San Francisco is moving up from a marketing coordinator or specialist role inside a growth-stage startup, where small teams give junior marketers early ownership of campaigns or channels. Companies in SoMa and Mission Bay frequently hire marketing associates who can step into manager responsibilities within a year. Building a portfolio of measurable results, even from freelance or side projects, and getting visible in San Francisco's startup community through events at co-working spaces like Galvanize or local product meetups, accelerates the timeline.
Which industries hire the most marketing managers in San Francisco?
Most marketing manager openings in San Francisco sit in Technology & Software, Banking & Financial Services, and Retail, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. San Francisco's concentration of technology headquarters, fintech scale-ups, and direct-to-consumer brands keeps demand for marketing managers consistently high across those sectors year-round.
