ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Sr Manager, Commercial Marketing, T-Fiber is a leadership role responsible for driving new customer acquisition, go-to-market execution, channel strategy, and data-driven performance management for T-Mobile’s fiber broadband business. This role leads a multidisciplinary team spanning commercial marketing and data science. The leader owns the full commercial agenda: pricing and promotional strategy, GTM readiness for new fiber market launches, in-quarter performance management, and long-term subscriber growth. This role serves as the connective tissue between Marketing, GTM, Pricing, Operations, Channels, Analytics, and FP&A. Requires a proven track record in scaling multi-billion-dollar portfolios, comfort translating data science outputs into commercial decisions, and the ability to present confidently to the C-Suite on a regular basis.
This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of Senior Commercial Marketing Managers (offer planning, quarterly growth steering, and channel performance) and Data Scientists focused on fiber penetration modeling and ML-driven optimization.
- Foster a high-accountability, growth-oriented team culture with emphasis on career development, cross-functional collaboration, and data-informed decision-making.
- Coach team members on GTM execution, commercial strategy, stakeholder management, and translating analytical outputs into actionable business recommendations.
- Set clear priorities, milestones, and performance expectations aligned to quarterly and annual business targets.
- Lead the commercial marketing function for T-Fiber with ownership of pricing and promotional decisions, segment identification and selection, value proposition definition, and acquisition performance management across consumer segments.
- Oversee offer planning and strategy for the fiber portfolio — guiding the team in developing pricing, promotions, and product positioning (including MRC, CLV, CapEx, and tenure modeling) that align with growth objectives.
- Drive full P&L management across the fiber broadband portfolio, with weekly, quarterly, annual, and 5-year targets and horizon planning.
- Lead quarterly and annual planning against customer targets, load mix, and activating MRC; develop contingencies to ensure delivery of customer targets and consistent share of gross adds.
- Seek and capture opportunities based on competitive landscape, business performance, and customer insights; provide strategic recommendations on offers and acquisition programs.
- Manage offer portfolio performance including tracking of results, market investment budget, competitive wargaming, and developing multiple plan iterations to respond to changes in the competitive environment.
- Own the end-to-end GTM strategy for new and emerging fiber markets, from market acceptance through initial penetration targets — developing and continuously refining GTM playbooks that translate corporate strategy into market-specific launch plans.
- Lead the GTM Readiness process — a structured, cross-functional launch gate ensuring readiness across Operations, Channels, Marketing, and Reporting before each market goes live.
- Partner with Channel teams to develop and deploy sales enablement programs, training curricula, and incentive structures tailored to fiber market conditions.
- Monitor channel performance in new markets, identifying conversion gaps and deploying targeted interventions to accelerate sales velocity.
- Build and maintain scalable launch infrastructure — templates, checklists, scorecards, and governance rhythms — that support a high-velocity launch cadence without sacrificing quality.
- Oversee the Fiber Data Science team, guiding prioritization of ML and statistical modeling initiatives — including penetration permutation models, cohort-level scorecards, and regional cost optimization — ensuring outputs are actionable and tied to commercial outcomes.
- Champion a data-driven culture across the commercial team, ensuring offer strategy, GTM decisions, and channel investments are consistently grounded in rigorous analysis.
- Translate complex ML outputs and data insights into clear, executive-ready narratives that inform commercial strategy and leadership decision-making.
