Strategy Jobs in Colorado: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a strategy professional in Colorado?
Most strategy roles in Colorado require a bachelor's degree in business, economics, engineering, or a quantitative field, with employers at the senior level strongly preferring an MBA from an accredited program. Colorado does not issue a state license for corporate or business strategy roles. The typical path into the field runs through management consulting, investment banking, or a rotational business analyst program at a large Colorado employer before moving into a dedicated strategy function.
Which companies hire strategy professionals in Colorado?
Employers hiring strategy professionals in Colorado right now include Deloitte, DaVita, and Vantage Data Centers, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Colorado's concentration of aerospace and defense contractors, integrated health systems, and technology firms means strategy teams here tend to focus on portfolio planning, market expansion, and competitive positioning.
Which Colorado cities have the most strategy jobs?
Denver, Colorado Springs, and Colorado account for the largest share of strategy openings in Colorado. Denver drives the most volume as the state's corporate and financial hub, Boulder draws heavily from its technology and life sciences ecosystem, and Colorado Springs contributes through its dense cluster of defense contractors and government agencies that maintain in-house strategy functions.
Are there remote strategy jobs in Colorado?
Yes, and more than most fields, because strategy work is fundamentally analytical and document-driven rather than tied to a physical location. About 84% of strategy openings tied to Colorado are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how widely the role has shifted toward distributed work. Research, competitive analysis, and financial modeling are the tasks most often performed fully remotely, while executive presentations and workshops typically require in-person attendance.
How can I get hired as a strategy professional in Colorado with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a business analyst or associate consultant role, which large Colorado employers such as health systems, aerospace contractors, and financial services firms use as a structured on-ramp into strategy work. Rotational programs at companies headquartered in the Denver metro are worth targeting directly. A strong analytical portfolio, even from academic projects or internships, combined with progress toward an MBA at the University of Colorado or Colorado State, materially improves competitiveness for these entry-level openings.
Where can I find and apply to strategy jobs in Colorado?
You can find and apply to strategy jobs in Colorado on Migrate Mate, which lists current Colorado openings updated regularly. Search for the role type and location that fits your background, review the listings that match your experience level, and apply directly to the ones that align with your goals.
