Freedman's Office Furniture | Tampa, FL
About us
Freedman's has sold commercial office furniture since 1980. We build our own cubicle and panel systems in Tampa, keep the rest of our catalog in stock, and deliver and install nationwide from showrooms in Tampa and West Palm Beach. Most of our revenue is B2B and quote-driven. A buyer finds us online, calls or fills out a form, and works with a sales rep on a proposal. Our Shopify store matters, but it is the secondary channel.
This role owns everything between a buyer's search and a rep's desk, plus the data that tells us whether it worked.
The role
You will be the one person who understands how our marketing systems fit together. Outside partners handle much of the execution: a Google Ads manager, an SEO agency, a blog contractor, and several app vendors. You need to be technical enough to check their work, find what's broken, and fix much of it yourself. We have no in-house developer.
What you'll own
● Paid search and Shopping. Oversee our Google Ads manager. Own conversion tracking, so that bidding optimizes toward real leads and CRM outcomes flow back into Google Ads.
● Google Merchant Center. Keep the product feed accurate. That covers shipping policies that match checkout, feed rules, shipping labels, and disapprovals.
● Shopify operations. Own product data, SEO fields, collections, redirects, and pages. Maintain zone-based shipping rate logic and product-option configuration, including the side effects those apps create in the feed and at checkout.
● CRM and lead routing. Administer HubSpot Sales Hub: forms, workflows, lead assignment, deduplication, deal hygiene, and attribution. Every web lead should reach a rep quickly.
● Call tracking. Maintain CallRail tracking numbers, expand automated call scoring, and match calls to closed deals.
● SEO and content. Manage the SEO agency and blog contractor, own collection strategy, and make sure no URL changes without a redirect.
● Reporting. Tie marketing spend to closed revenue. Our proposal system, not the CRM, is the system of record. That means joining exports from several systems and telling leadership what is actually true, in plain language.
● Site quality. Own accessibility compliance, Google Business Profile, and coordination with our theme developer.
Must have
● 3+ years in e-commerce or marketing operations, with hands-on Shopify admin experience.
● Enough depth in Google Ads and Merchant Center to audit an agency's conversion setup and feed.
● CRM administration experience, ideally HubSpot: properties, workflows, imports, and dedup.
● Comfort reconciling messy exports from multiple systems. Python/pandas or SQL is strongly preferred over Excel alone.
● A testing habit. You verify a change at checkout or with a live click before calling it done, and you test one record before any bulk edit.
● You document changes the same day, so nobody has to rediscover how something works.
● Short, direct communication with a busy owner who wants the bottom line.
Nice to have
● Shopify Admin GraphQL API experience.
● Experience configuring shipping apps, and some knowledge of freight/LTL.
● Experience with CallRail, Klaviyo, Google Tag Manager, or reporting connectors like Windsor.ai.
● A background in B2B or high-ticket, quote-driven sales.
● Familiarity with WCAG/ADA requirements.
● Productive use of AI tools, with the discipline to check their output.
Six months in, success looks like
● Every primary Google Ads conversion represents a real lead, and closed deals from HubSpot flow back to Google Ads.
● Leadership trusts a monthly report connecting marketing spend to closed proposals.
● Merchant Center shipping declarations match checkout for every product.
● Web leads route to reps automatically, and CRM duplicates are cleaned up.
