What You’ll Do
- Review and analyze patient accounts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Assign appropriate ICD-10 (and when applicable CPT/HCPCS) codes based on documentation
- Prepare, submit, and follow up on claims for timely insurance reimbursement
- Identify billing errors, denials, and payment variances; research root causes and resolve issues
- Work denials, corrections, and re-bills while maintaining clear documentation of actions taken
- Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to clarify documentation and billing details
- Maintain accurate records and follow established policies, payer rules, and regulatory requirements
- Support ongoing revenue cycle improvements by spotting trends and recommending fixes

- Strong working knowledge of ICD-10 and medical terminology
