We are seeking a Certified Family / Women's Health Nurse Practitioner to join our Private Practice. Family Friendly Work Environment. OB/GYN experience required. You will diagnose and treat health conditions, as well as promote good health practices. The job description includes physical examinations, ordering & interpreting lab tests and overseeing patients’ health, contraceptive management including placement and removal of LARCs, etc. You’ll be both a health practitioner and an educator, supporting disease prevention practices and helping people lead healthy lives. Extensive clinical experience on primary care is vital. As a Nurse Practitioner, you’ll work closely with others, so you should have a team spirit and a positive attitude. Patience, problem-solving skills and communication ability are important. If you’re dedicated to advancing your knowledge and clinical expertise, we’d like to meet you. Bilingual Spanish is a plus. Must be COVID vaccinated. Salary based on experience. Must be Fully COVID Vaccinated. Must hold Virginia License to Practice. No Recruiters please.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Examine Obstetric and Gynecology patients and their medical records
- Order and review diagnostic tests
- Diagnose health conditions and illnesses
- Work closely with our Physicians and office staff
- Propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases
- Prescribe medications
- Maintain accurate records and schedules
- Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications
- Educate patients and their family members on diseases, epidemics and prevention
- Oversee patients’ overall health
- Promote good health practices
- Participate in advancing Your professional knowledge and that of the Team
Skills
- Proven experience as Nurse Practitioner in a clinic, hospital, ER or other setting
- Expertise in primary care, acute care and chronic care practices
- Knowledge of health and patient care regulations
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong ethics
- Team spirit with a positive attitude
- Willingness to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experience
- Valid Virginia Nurse Practitioner license
