Entry Level Nursing Technician Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level nursing technician job?
Employers hiring at the entry level look for completed CNA certification or nursing program enrollment, hands-on clinical hours from rotations or internships, and basic patient care skills like vital signs and specimen collection. Candidates who highlight specific clinical settings they have worked in and any patient-facing volunteer experience stand out. A clean, organized resume that leads with education and clinical training gives you a clear edge at this stage.
Which companies hire entry level nursing technicians?
Companies hiring entry level nursing technicians right now include Fairview Health Services, MedVet, and Cone Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Health systems, regional hospitals, and long-term care facilities are the most active employers at this experience level, as they regularly bring on new grads and students in nursing programs to fill technician roles.
Are there remote entry level nursing technician jobs?
Yes, though most nursing technician roles require direct patient contact and are on-site. About 25% of entry level nursing technician openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions tend to be administrative or telehealth-support roles rather than traditional bedside or clinical positions. Checking each listing carefully will clarify the work setting before you apply.
Are these new grad nursing technician jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior nursing technician roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts clinical rotations or internships in place of paid work history, or explicitly invites nursing students and recent completers of CNA programs to apply. If you are a new grad, filter for roles that list these criteria to find the best fit.
Which industries hire the most entry level nursing technicians?
Entry Level nursing technician roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Education, and Animal Care & Pet Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive the most entry level hiring because they operate at high patient volume, run continuous shifts, and routinely bring on junior technicians to support registered nurses and physicians with direct patient care tasks.
