Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal operation.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment using schematics, hand tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic devices.
• Conduct HVAC system repairs and maintenance to maintain proper climate control within the facility.
• Carry out plumbing system maintenance and repairs, including pipe repairs, fixture replacements, and leak detection.
• Utilize welding skills for metal repairs and fabrication as needed for facility infrastructure.
• Maintain facilities equipment including elevators, fire alarms, lighting systems, and other mechanical systems.
• Perform carpentry tasks such as building interior modifications or repairs to support facility needs.
• Apply residential painting techniques for touch-ups or larger projects to maintain a clean and professional appearance.
• Follow safety protocols and use schematics to accurately diagnose issues with electrical or mechanical systems.
• Lead small maintenance projects or assist in supervising contractors when necessary.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations while providing excellent customer service to staff and residents.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) within a healthcare or residential environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and diagnostic devices like ohmmeters.
• Electrical experience including electrical equipment repair, electrical work troubleshooting, and familiarity with electrical codes.
• Skilled in HVAC system repair, building interior maintenance, plumbing system maintenance and repair, as well as facilities maintenance overall.
• Ability to perform welding tasks safely and effectively; experience with programmable logic controllers is a plus.
• Knowledge of carpentry techniques including drywall repair, framing, painting (including maintenance painting), and building interior modifications.
• Familiarity with schematics for electrical systems and mechanical components essential for accurate troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and effective teamwork.
• Leadership qualities with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
