Overnight Operations Consultant
Company: Iron Arch Management

Schedule: Overnight (Typically 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM, including weekends)
Position Summary
The Overnight Operations Consultant is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, food safety, customer satisfaction, and profitability across assigned McDonald’s restaurant locations during overnight hours. This role provides hands-on leadership, coaching, and performance oversight to overnight management teams while ensuring compliance with brand standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Overnight Operational Oversight
- Conduct on-site overnight evaluations of assigned restaurants
- Ensure adherence to McDonald’s brand standards, food safety procedures, and cleanliness expectations
- Monitor drive-thru performance, speed of service, and order accuracy
- Ensure proper staffing levels and labor deployment
Leadership & Coaching
- Coach and develop overnight Shift Managers and Crew Leaders
- Reinforce leadership behaviors aligned with company values
- Identify training gaps and implement corrective action plans
- Support succession planning for overnight leadership roles
Performance & Financial Management
- Analyze overnight sales, labor, food cost, and waste metrics
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency
- Monitor inventory controls and product quality standards
- Ensure equipment maintenance and preventative care compliance
Food Safety & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety standards (HACCP-based procedures)
- Conduct internal food safety audits
- Ensure compliance with health department regulations
- Address safety concerns immediately to minimize risk
Customer Experience
- Monitor and improve overnight guest satisfaction
- Ensure consistent execution of hospitality standards
- Respond to escalated guest concerns professionally and effectively
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) management experience
- Multi-unit leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of McDonald’s operational systems (preferred)
- Proven leadership, coaching, and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
