Healthcare Operations Manager — Future Director Track
Fresno, CA | Full-Time | ExemptSalary: $80,000–$99,000 annually, based on experience
Help Build the Future of Root-Cause Healthcare
At Integra Health & Wellness, we believe healthcare should do more than manage symptoms. It should help people uncover root causes, restore hope, build resilience, and create lasting change.
Our mission is to Transform Health One Life at a Time.
We are seeking a high-capacity people leader and operational builder to join our team as Healthcare Operations Manager.
This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys creating clarity from complexity, developing people, improving the patient/member experience, and helping a growing organization turn meaningful vision into consistent execution.
You will not be stepping into a finished operating system. You will help build the systems, leadership rhythms, accountability structures, and service standards that allow Integra to grow with excellence.
This role begins as a Manager-level position with a performance-based opportunity to grow toward a future Director of Healthcare Operations role as Integra expands.
What You’ll Do
You will lead the operational systems that shape the full patient/member journey—from first inquiry through enrollment, care, wellness services, membership, and long-term engagement.
You will initially lead 5–8 team members and functional areas across front office, enrollment, member experience, administrative operations, wellness-service support, and operational systems.
Your responsibilities include:
- Lead, coach, develop, and hold team members accountable to clear expectations, service standards, and measurable outcomes.
- Strengthen the prospective-patient journey, including response times, consultation scheduling, enrollment follow-up, onboarding, and early engagement.
- Improve active-member experience, retention, renewal, referrals, reviews, and long-term connection to Integra.
- Build and improve workflows, SOPs, dashboards, scorecards, meeting rhythms, and cross-team handoffs.
- Identify recurring operational bottlenecks and lead practical solutions through implementation and follow-through.
- Support wellness-service readiness, scheduling, utilization, hospitality, training, and facility operations.
- Protect revenue through reliable follow-up, accurate operational workflows, capacity planning, and disciplined attention to detail.
- Identify staffing needs; coordinate recruitment, interviewing, candidate evaluation, onboarding, training readiness, and coverage planning for approved roles.
- Recommend staffing and hiring priorities based on operational demand, capacity, and approved growth plans; final authority for headcount, compensation, and organizational design remains with the Founder & CEO.
- Coordinate operational priorities across clinical, marketing, enrollment, and administrative teams.
- Oversee core business operations including compliance coordination, staffing and PTO review, inventory visibility, and facility readiness.
The Kind of Leader We’re Looking For
You understand that exceptional operations begin with an exceptional member experience.
As a visible leader within Integra’s Fresno hub, you will help set the tone for how members, prospective members, guests, and team members feel when they interact with our practice: welcomed, respected, informed, cared for, and confident in what comes next.
You lead with both warmth and accountability. You create an environment where hospitality is not left to personality or chance—it is reflected in clear standards, thoughtful communication, reliable follow-through, and a team that takes ownership of each person’s experience.
You know how to build trust without avoiding difficult conversations. You can coach people toward growth, set clear expectations, and address performance concerns directly and respectfully.
You are comfortable moving between the big picture and the details. When a member experience, handoff, or workflow falls short, you look beyond the immediate issue and ask:
“What needs to improve so every person experiences Integra with greater clarity, care, and consistency?”
You are emotionally intelligent, resourceful, and steady. You do not need every answer on day one, but you take ownership of finding the right answer and helping the team deliver it well.
What Success Looks Like
Within your first year, you will help Integra strengthen and scale the operational foundation needed for its next stage of growth. You will help create:
- Clear, consistent ownership and accountability across the teams you lead.
- A more seamless prospective-patient and member journey—from first inquiry through enrollment, onboarding, ongoing engagement, and renewal.
- Practical dashboards and scorecards that support timely, informed decision-making.
- Strong leadership rhythms, cross-team communication, and service standards that create a consistently exceptional member experience.
- Scalable workflows that support growth while protecting quality, follow-through, and team capacity.
- A proactive staffing and hiring rhythm that identifies capacity needs early, supports effective onboarding, and protects continuity of service.
- Greater operational capacity for the Founder & CEO to remain focused on clinical innovation, strategic growth, education, and long-term vision.
What We’re Looking For Required
- Previous experience managing, coaching, and holding accountable a team of employees.
- Demonstrated success improving operations, workflows, service delivery, or team performance.
- Experience participating in recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and/or training of team members.
- Strong business judgment and comfort using metrics, dashboards, and data to guide decisions.
- Ability to lead change, build team buy-in, and follow through on implementation.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to set expectations and address challenges professionally.
- Strong organization, prioritization, and follow-through in a fast-moving environment.
- Ability to work on-site in Fresno, California.
Preferred
- Experience in healthcare, wellness, hospitality, membership-based services, or another high-touch service environment.
- Experience in a growing small-to-midsize organization where systems, roles, and leadership structure were still being built.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, patient/member lifecycle management, enrollment, or service operations.
Healthcare leadership experience is a plus. Strong people-management experience, operational judgment, business acumen, emotional intelligence, and a willingness to learn are essential.
Manager Role & Future Director Path
At the Manager level, you will lead the current team and strengthen Integra’s operating foundation by building reliable systems, improving workflows and service delivery, and creating clear accountability. You will support profitable growth by protecting revenue, improving prospective-patient conversion and active-member retention, monitoring capacity and controllable expenses, and ensuring Integra has the people, coverage, and operational readiness needed to serve members well.
You will identify staffing needs, coordinate recruitment and hiring for approved roles, build effective onboarding and training processes, and provide reliable operational data and recommendations that support profitable growth.
As the role expands to the Director level, accountability grows from improving individual operational drivers to leading how they perform together across the organization. In collaboration with the Founder & CEO, the Director leads operational performance across revenue, capacity, labor alignment, service-line utilization, expense stewardship, margin improvement, workforce planning, leadership development, and succession readiness.
Director-level advancement includes a formal compensation review and salary adjustment to reflect the expanded scope, accountability, organizational impact, and market expectations of the role.
Advancement is based on demonstrated results—not tenure—including the ability to build leaders, create scalable systems, improve measurable performance, lead effectively through growth, and establish a reliable staffing and leadership bench.
Benefits & Professional Growth
Eligible full-time team members receive:
- Performance-based bonus opportunities tied to individual and organizational goals
- Health insurance and dental benefits
- 401(k) retirement plan with employer match
- Paid Time Off and paid holidays
- Additional paid clinic-closure days during the Christmas/New Year holiday period
- Paid participation in quarterly leadership and professional-development training
- Opportunities for continuing education in leadership, operations, and functional medicine
- Opportunities to experience the same wellness services and programs we provide our members
- A clear, performance-based pathway toward future Director-level leadership
Why Integra
This is a meaningful opportunity to work closely with the Founder & CEO as a trusted operational leader, helping translate organizational vision into clear priorities, systems, and execution.
You will have visible impact, meaningful responsibility, and increasing exposure to strategic decision-making as you help build a mission-driven organization at an important stage of growth.
