INTRODUCTION
The Patient Care Coordinator provides essential administrative support to Telephonic Nurse Case Managers within CorVel’s state-certified Workers’ Compensation Managed Care Organization (MCO) program. In this role, you will act as an administrative partner to the nurses assisting with administrative tasks, accurate electronic file management, and support effective care coordination. This position plays a key role in ensuring smooth communication between internal teams, clients, and external partners, helping to deliver high-quality, compliant managed care services.
This is a hybrid position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to Telephonic Case Management nurses
- Assist nurses with clinic communications via telephone
- Prepare, proofread, and distribute correspondence to clients, providers, and other stakeholders
- Support coordination of care by ensuring timely and accurate documentation and communication
- Maintain organized client files and ensure all contacts and records are up to date
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of reports
- Communicate with providers and vendors to gather necessary information
- Provide basic troubleshooting support for technical issues
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, confidentiality standards, and organizational policies
- Perform additional duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Strong ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Clear, professional communication skills (written and verbal)
- A problem-solving mindset with strong critical-thinking skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Computer proficiency & technical aptitude with the ability to utilize Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong time management and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Clinical background preferred
PAY RANGE:
CorVel uses a market based approach to pay and our salary ranges may vary depending on your location. Pay rates are established taking into account the following factors: federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, the geographic location differential, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions. Our ranges may be modified at any time.
For leveled roles (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.) new hires may be slotted into a different level, either up or down, based on assessment during interview process taking into consideration experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role. The level may impact the salary range and these adjustments would be clarified during the offer process.
Pay Range: $19.24 - $31.04 per hour
