Target Tampa's strongest hiring sectors: healthcare networks anchored in New Tampa and Brandon, financial services and insurance firms in the Westshore Business District, and the growing tech and professional services presence Downtown and in Channelside. Candidates who combine HRIS proficiency with experience in high-volume recruiting or employee relations stand out locally. Networking through Tampa Bay HR Association events also gives you a meaningful edge in this market.
Which companies hire people operations managers in Tampa?

Tampa's employer mix skews toward large regional healthcare systems, insurance and financial services companies, and mid-size professional services firms, all of which maintain dedicated people operations functions.
Are there remote people operations manager jobs in Tampa?
Yes, though availability depends on the role's scope. People operations work that centers on policy development, HRIS administration, and analytics tends to be remote-friendly, while onboarding, employee relations, and office culture work typically requires on-site presence. About 0% of people operations manager openings tied to Tampa are remote or hybrid as of September 2026. Hybrid arrangements are especially common among Tampa's larger financial services and technology employers.
How can I get a people operations manager job in Tampa with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Tampa is moving up from an HR coordinator or people operations generalist role within one of the city's large healthcare systems or insurance carriers, which regularly hire at the associate level. Gaining hands-on experience with HRIS platforms like Workday or ADP, then stepping into a project lead capacity on a benefits rollout or onboarding redesign, builds the resume evidence Tampa hiring managers look for before promoting into a manager title.
