The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing and supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources function, with a strong focus on healthcare recruiting, employee relations, benefits administration, payroll, HR compliance, and HR systems. This position serves as a key resource to employees and leaders throughout the organization and partners closely with the Vice President of Human Resources and other members of leadership to support the organization's people strategy and operational goals.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare recruiting and HR generalist functions, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The HR Manager will exercise sound judgment, discretion, and problem-solving skills when addressing employee and organizational matters and will assist in developing and continuously improving HR processes, programs, and capabilities.
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
- Manage and support the organization's full-cycle recruitment process for a variety of clinical, administrative, and leadership positions.
- Develop and maintain an active recruiting pipeline while managing multiple open requisitions simultaneously.
- Conduct candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, offer development, and onboarding coordination.
- Demonstrate the ability to recruit for both high-volume positions and specialized healthcare roles.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, develop recruitment strategies, and ensure timely placement of qualified candidates.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external recruiting and staffing agencies as needed.
- Review and assist with the negotiation of staffing agency agreements, employment offers, and related contractual terms.
- Monitor recruiting activity and identify opportunities to improve candidate experience, time-to-fill, and overall recruiting effectiveness.
Benefit Administration
- Administer the organization's employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, HSA/FSA, and other applicable benefit programs.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees regarding benefit eligibility, enrollment, coverage questions, and benefit changes.
- Partner with benefits brokers, third-party administrators, and insurance carriers to resolve employee issues and ensure accurate administration of benefit programs.
- Coordinate and support the annual open enrollment process, including planning, communication, employee education, and implementation.
- Review benefit programs and processes and identify opportunities to improve employee engagement, understanding, and overall program effectiveness.
- Assist with benefit plan compliance and required documentation.
401(k) Administration
- Partner with the organization's 401(k) plan administrator and service providers to ensure accurate and compliant administration of the retirement plan.
- Coordinate and oversee employee 401(k) loan and hardship requests.
- Assist employees with questions regarding plan eligibility, contributions, loans, distributions, and other plan provisions.
- Coordinate annual nondiscrimination testing and required corrective actions.
- Assist with the annual Form 5500 filing process and coordinate with third-party auditors as needed.
- Maintain accurate plan documentation and ensure required updates are communicated and implemented appropriately.
Payroll Oversite
- Review and approve biweekly payroll in partnership with the Finance team.
- Ensure payroll information, including employee status changes, compensation changes, deductions, benefits and PTO are accurate and processed timely.
- Assist with payroll-related employee inquiries and research and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Partner with Finance and payroll service providers to address payroll issues and ensure compliance with applicable wage and hour requirements.
- Support the development and maintenance of effective payroll procedures and internal controls.
Employee Relations & LOAs
- Partner with the Vice President of Human Resources in managing employee relations matters, including performance concerns, disciplinary actions, workplace conflicts, accommodations, leave requests and workers compensation claims.
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers regarding performance management, disciplinary actions, documentation, and other employee relations matters.
- Ensure employee relations practices are consistent, appropriately documented, and compliant with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Assist with workplace investigations and provide recommendations regarding appropriate courses of action.
- Prepare employment-related documentation, including disciplinary notices, agreements, separation documents, and general releases, as appropriate.
- Maintain appropriate confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee and organizational information.
- Stay informed of changes in employment laws and regulations and assist with implementing required changes.

Education and Technical Skills:
- 5 – 7 years of progressive experience in an HR Generalist and Recruiter role
- Must possess Healthcare experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Must be organized and detail oriented
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines
- Must possess good problem solving skills
- Extensive knowledge of HR concepts practices
