Human Resources Generalist

At Capitol Imaging Services, we are looking for a highly capable, hands-on HR Generalist to join our growing Imaging organization. This HR role is for someone who enjoys working across the full employee lifecycle while having particular strength in performance management, HR reporting and metrics, and manager training and development.

The ideal candidate is someone who has worked in acquisitions, is a trusted partner to managers and employees and can move comfortably between strategic HR initiatives and the day-to-day work that keeps the organization running smoothly. You will help leaders manage performance, understand their people data, and navigate employee-related situations while also supporting broader HR programs and initiatives.

This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys variety, takes ownership, is comfortable working independently, and can turn HR data into meaningful insights and action.

Key Responsibilities

Performance Management & Employee Development

• Own and support the company's performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, coaching, development plans, and performance improvement plans.
• Partner with managers to establish clear performance expectations and provide effective, timely feedback.
• Coach managers through challenging performance and employee relations situations.
• Help identify performance trends and recommend practical solutions to improve employee engagement, accountability, and retention.
• Help ensure performance management practices are consistent, fair, and aligned with company expectations.

HR Reporting, Metrics & Analytics

• Develop, maintain, and distribute HR reports and dashboards that provide meaningful insight into workforce trends.
• Track and analyze key HR metrics such as turnover, retention, absenteeism, headcount, vacancies, performance outcomes, employee demographics, and other workforce indicators.
• Identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities through workforce data.
• Partner with leadership and Finance/Operations as needed on headcount planning, workforce reporting, and organizational analysis.
• Continuously improve HR reporting processes, tools, and dashboards.

HR Generalist Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted HR resource for employees and managers across the organization.
• Support employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, corrective action, and policy interpretation.
• Partner with leadership on organizational changes, team structure, employee engagement, and workforce planning.
• Help maintain and update HR policies, procedures, employee communications, and documentation.
• Ensure HR practices are consistent with company policies and applicable employment laws.
• Support special HR projects and organizational initiatives as they arise.
• Serve as a flexible HR resource who is willing to jump in wherever the business needs support.

Preferred Qualifications

• Approximately 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist or similar role.

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
