Responsibilities
- Carry out prescribed physiotherapy interventions, including manual therapy and trigger point therapy, and operate medical equipment safely.
- Support care plans for patients across settings, including clinics, inpatient units, skilled nursing facilities, and home health.
- Document treatment, clinical assessments, and patient progress in electronic health records (EHRs), following clinical documentation standards.
- Communicate with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals about treatment activities and relevant observations.
- Contribute to discharge planning and adapt communication and care approaches for orthopedic, geriatric, and pediatric patients.
Requirements
- Physical Therapist Assistant qualification and any required state licensure or certification.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and physical therapy documentation.
- Ability to implement treatment plans, provide patient care, and maintain accurate medical documentation.
- Preferred experience in one or more of these settings: inpatient, acute care, skilled nursing facility, home health, or clinic.
- Strong client communication skills and the ability to collaborate with healthcare professionals.
Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
