Physician Assistant Jobs in Nevada: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a physician assistant in Nevada?
To become a physician assistant in Nevada, you must graduate from an ARC-PA accredited master's-level PA program, pass the PANCE, and apply for licensure through the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners. Nevada issues a PA license that must be renewed biennially with continuing medical education hours. No additional state-specific exam is required beyond the national certification, but you must hold active NCCPA certification to maintain your Nevada license.
How much do physician assistants make in Nevada?
Physician assistants in Nevada earn a median of about $134,660 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $60,040 for the lowest 10% to over $175,300 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire physician assistants in Nevada?
Employers hiring physician assistants in Nevada right now include Signify Health, 77 Consultants, and Keck Medicine of USC, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Nevada's concentration of large integrated health systems and growing urgent care networks means consistent openings across both hospital-based and outpatient settings statewide.
Which Nevada cities have the most physician assistant jobs?
Las Vegas, Nevada, and Reno have the most physician assistant openings in Nevada. Las Vegas and Henderson dominate due to the sheer size of their hospital networks and the rapid growth of multispecialty outpatient practices serving one of the fastest-growing metro populations in the country, while Reno anchors northern Nevada hiring through Renown Health and the region's expanding academic medical community.
Are there remote physician assistant jobs in Nevada?
Yes, but they're rare. Physician assistant work is inherently hands-on and clinical, so most roles require on-site presence. About 60% of physician assistant openings tied to Nevada are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions are almost exclusively in telemedicine, utilization review, or medical consulting rather than direct patient care.
How can I get hired as a physician assistant in Nevada with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a new-graduate PA residency or fellowship, and several Nevada health systems including Dignity Health and Valley Health System have offered structured transition-to-practice programs for new PAs in primary care and hospital medicine. Applying to urgent care networks in the Las Vegas metro is also practical, as those settings frequently hire new graduates willing to rotate across sites. Holding an active Nevada PA license and current NCCPA certification before you apply removes the most common barrier hiring managers cite for entry-level candidates.
Where can I find and apply to physician assistant jobs in Nevada?
You can find and apply to physician assistant jobs in Nevada on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring across the state right now. Search the roles that match your specialty, experience level, and preferred city, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
