The Department of Chemistry at the University of Texas at Austin invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in analytical chemistry, subject to available funding. We are particularly interested in candidates who will contribute to our higher education mission through teaching, research, and service. Applicants whose future research programs broadly align with the theme of analytical chemistry are encouraged to apply.
Successful candidates are expected to establish and sustain a vibrant research program; serve as dedicated teachers and mentors to our increasingly diverse students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels; and assist in the administrative and governance functions of the department, the university and the profession via service on committees, as appropriate. Applicants at the assistant professor level must have a promising research agenda, and a strong commitment to graduate and undergraduate student education and success.

The department and University have state-of-the-art core facilities and we are ranked 16th best graduate program in the United States by US News and World Report (2023 ed.). PhD in chemistry or closely related field.
