Program Coordinator Jobs in Dallas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a program coordinator job in Dallas?
Focus your search on Dallas's three strongest hiring sectors: healthcare systems in the Medical District, nonprofits headquartered downtown and in Oak Cliff, and corporate training teams in Uptown and Las Colinas. Candidates who stand out locally combine project management experience with familiarity in community outreach or grant administration. Tailoring your resume to the specific sector, whether clinical operations or workforce development, gives you a clear edge over generalist applicants in this market.
Which companies hire program coordinators in Dallas?
Companies currently hiring program coordinators in Dallas include UT Southwestern Medical Center, HDR, and Burns & McDonnell, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Dallas draws a broad mix of large health systems, regional nonprofits, and Fortune 500 corporate foundations, all of which maintain active program coordinator teams.
Are there remote program coordinator jobs in Dallas?
Yes, though availability depends on the role type. Program coordinator positions tied to in-person services, clinical operations, or community events are almost always on-site, while roles focused on data tracking, grant reporting, or corporate training coordination lean more remote. About 14% of program coordinator openings tied to Dallas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026. In Dallas, tech-adjacent employers and national nonprofits with local offices tend to offer the most flexible arrangements.
How can I get a program coordinator job in Dallas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Dallas is through AmeriCorps programs, university administrative assistant roles at institutions like UT Dallas or SMU, or coordinator assistant positions at large healthcare systems in the Medical District. These roles build the scheduling, reporting, and stakeholder communication skills Dallas employers look for. Volunteering with Dallas-area nonprofits or community organizations and then transitioning into a paid coordinator role is another common local pathway that hiring managers recognize and respect.
Which industries hire the most program coordinators in Dallas?
Dallas program coordinator roles concentrate in Consulting & Professional Services, Construction & Real Estate, and Manufacturing, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Dallas's scale as a regional hub for healthcare, corporate headquarters, and nonprofit services means each of those sectors maintains large, active program teams rather than isolated coordinator positions.
