AThis position is full-time and provides competitive salary and benefits. The Project Accountant is a valued team member of our construction project teams, helping keep projects financially healthy and organized from start to finish. They provide accurate financial tracking, billing, and project administration; and collaborate with operations, project administration & accounting teams.

Responsibilities
- Design and improve benefit/total rewards strategy
- Coordinate owner billing, subcontractor documentation, and lien waivers
- Manage project financials, including billing, job costs, change orders, and project tracking
- Support project teams by ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with
company processes
- Administer certified payroll and project-specific state and federal requirements
- Maintain organized project records, files, and financial documentation
- Collaborate with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and accounting staff to support
successful project outcomes
- Support project team and others across M&J to achieve goals
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in accounting or relevant field; or 5+ years of
accounting or project billing experience required
- 2-5 years of experience in an accounting position is preferred
- Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office; construction
accounting experience is an asset
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to analyze financial information and manage multiple priorities
- Effective communication skills and a customer-service mindset
- Construction background or experience in Vista by Viewpoint software is an asset
