Project Manager Jobs in Brooklyn: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a project manager job in Brooklyn?
Focus on the sectors driving Brooklyn hiring: construction and development along the waterfront, healthcare networks anchored by major hospital systems, and the tech and creative firms clustered in DUMBO and the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Candidates who can show cross-functional coordination experience and familiarity with borough-specific permitting or community stakeholder processes stand out. Tailoring your application to the local sector, whether that is real estate, healthcare operations, or agile product teams, matters more than a general PM pitch.
Which companies hire project managers in Brooklyn?
Companies currently hiring project managers in Brooklyn include Infojini, ETC COMPANIES, and JPMorganChase, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Brooklyn's employer mix skews toward development firms, hospital networks, government-adjacent agencies, and mid-size tech companies, which means openings range from capital project oversight to product and program management.
Are there remote project manager jobs in Brooklyn?
Yes, though it depends heavily on the role type: desk-based and analytical PM work in tech or marketing tends to be remote-friendly, while construction, facilities, and on-site operations roles are almost always in person. About 0% of project manager openings tied to Brooklyn are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the borough's mix of field-based and office-based employers. The strongest remote options are concentrated in software, marketing, and program management roles at Brooklyn's growing tech and media companies.
How can I get a project manager job in Brooklyn with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Brooklyn is landing a coordinator or assistant project manager role at a construction, healthcare, or real estate firm, where those titles are common and employers often promote from within. Brooklyn's large hospital systems and development companies regularly hire entry-level project coordinators who learn PM methods on the job. A CAPM credential or documented experience managing any team effort, even in a volunteer or academic setting, helps separate early-career candidates in a competitive borough market.
Which industries hire the most project managers in Brooklyn?
Brooklyn project manager roles concentrate in Construction & Real Estate, Technology & Software, and Retail, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Brooklyn's ongoing development boom, its large hospital infrastructure, and the expansion of tech and creative firms in neighborhoods like DUMBO and Gowanus make those sectors the primary drivers of local PM demand.
