Essential duties and responsibilities:

Main Responsibilities

- Develop an understanding of the Burnside Manufacturing system, the individual processes and how they work together to produce a finished product.

- Implement current Burnside quality management system and identify areas of improvement to drive production gains through safety and quality

- Develop and implement a training system that promotes safety, quality, and productive work practices in partnership with the Plant/Production Manager.

- Manage and monitor quality instrumentation to ensure necessary tools are available and calibrated as required.

- Develop and implement a system for efficiently dealing with customer quality complaints and concerns:

- Document and track each quality complaint from initial report through resolution

- Respond to customers in a timely and respectful manner through emails, calls, or in person. Use of customer’s portal may sometimes be necessary

- Perform Root Cause analysis

- In conjunction with the production team, propose, develop, and implement solutions to address root cause

- Develop and implement a system for efficiently handling supplier quality issues:

- Quarantine and measure initial orders

- Document and track each quality issue from initial report to resolution

- Work with the supplier to perform a root cause analysis and implement a solution to resolve further issues

- Coordinate with the buyer on all supplier issues

Who we are looking for:

- Experience with customer and supplier quality.

- Knowledge of manufacturing production processes

- Excellent analytical and organization skills

- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and deadlines

- Ability to work effectively with others

- Strong communication skills in a multi-cultural environment

REQUIREMENTS:

- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred

- 3+ years of quality management preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted

- Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, reach, lift, carry, bend, kneel, squat, and stoop

- Also required to climb, push/pull, balance, crouch or crawl, talk, speak, and hear
