Real Estate Manager Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a real estate manager in Florida?
To work as a real estate manager in Florida you need an active real estate license issued by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, which requires completing a state-approved pre-licensing course and passing the Florida Real Estate Sales Associate or Broker exam. Property managers overseeing rentals for compensation must hold at least a Sales Associate license. Many employers also value a Certified Property Manager designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management, which is widely recognized among Florida's larger commercial and multifamily operators.
How much do real estate managers make in Florida?
Real estate managers in Florida earn a median of about $70,810 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $45,810 for the lowest 10% to over $132,770 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire real estate managers in Florida?
Employers hiring real estate managers in Florida right now include Arium Real Estate, The Mike Gagliardi Group, RE/MAX Signature, and Inspire Network, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Florida's concentration of large multifamily communities, commercial corridors, and resort-adjacent mixed-use properties means demand is consistent across both national firms with regional offices and locally headquartered property management companies.
Which Florida cities have the most real estate manager jobs?
Miami, Orlando, and Fort Lauderdale have the most real estate manager openings in Florida. Miami leads because of its dense commercial real estate market and high volume of luxury residential and mixed-use developments, while Orlando's growth in hospitality-adjacent and multifamily properties drives strong demand, and Tampa's expanding corporate and retail corridors generate consistent openings from both national firms and regional operators.
Are there remote real estate manager jobs in Florida?
Yes, but they're rare. Real estate managers typically need to be on-site to inspect properties, coordinate maintenance, and meet tenants or clients. About 47% of real estate manager openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with most of those positions focusing on administrative oversight, lease analysis, or regional portfolio reporting rather than hands-on day-to-day property operations.
How can I get hired as a real estate manager in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting as a leasing consultant or assistant property manager, roles that large Florida multifamily operators and commercial management firms hire for without requiring prior management experience. Companies like Lincoln Property Company and Greystar, which have active Florida operations, regularly fill leasing and junior management roles that lead to full property manager positions. Obtaining your Florida Sales Associate license before applying gives you a clear edge, and volunteering for HOA board or community association work builds practical credentials that hiring managers recognize.
Where can I find and apply to real estate manager jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to real estate manager jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings updated regularly. Search the listings for roles that match your experience and specialty, whether commercial, residential, or mixed-use, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
