Apply early to remote roles that fit

Build a short outreach sample to share
Remote employers for this role want proof you can write effective cold or warm outreach independently. Prepare two or three short, polished prospecting messages or follow-up templates you can attach or reference during the application process.
Prepare for a remote-specific interview format
Remote hiring processes for business development assistants often include an async video screen or written assignment before a live call. Practice answering pipeline questions concisely on camera and have a clean, quiet background ready for every round.
Remote Business Development Assistant Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a remote business development assistant job?
Remote employers hiring business development assistants screen heavily for self-direction and written communication, since you'll coordinate outreach, research prospects, and move deals forward without in-person oversight. Companies that hire this role remotely tend to be remote-first SaaS firms, professional services firms, and B2B technology companies. A demonstrated ability to manage pipelines, draft clear outreach, and follow up consistently without being prompted is what gives candidates a real edge.
Which companies hire remote business development assistants?
Remote business development assistant roles are posted by woco, LaborMAX Staffing, and Idealist Consulting and others right now, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Remote-first technology companies, distributed B2B services firms, and SaaS businesses across sectors like software, fintech, and consulting make up the bulk of remote hiring for this role.
Can you get a remote business development assistant job with no experience?
Yes, but remote entry-level roles are harder to land because employers expect you to work independently from day one without in-person onboarding. Your best paths in are internships at remote-first companies, freelance prospecting or lead research projects, and demonstrating CRM familiarity through coursework or self-directed projects. Showing organized written communication and any documented outreach results, even from volunteer or academic contexts, opens doors.
Do you need a degree for remote business development assistant jobs?
Not always. Remote employers in this role weight demonstrated skills, CRM experience, and a record of organized outreach over formal credentials. A degree in business, communications, or a related field helps, but candidates who can show clean pipeline management, strong written communication, and comfort with tools like Salesforce or HubSpot regularly move forward without one.
