Tips for Your Remote Marketing And Advertising Job Search
Build a portfolio around measurable remote outputs
Remote hiring managers can't observe you working, so your portfolio has to do the talking. Include campaigns with clear metrics, content calendars you owned end-to-end, or paid media results you drove. Concrete numbers tied to specific deliverables matter more than a list of responsibilities.
Demonstrate async communication skills upfront
Remote marketing and advertising teams run on written communication. In your cover letter and interview prep, show how you document briefs, give feedback asynchronously, and keep distributed stakeholders aligned without relying on real-time meetings. Mentioning tools like Notion, Loom, or Slack signals remote readiness immediately.
Apply early to remote roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists remote marketing and advertising openings from across the U.S. in one place, so you can find roles that match your skills and apply directly. Applying early to newly posted remote roles gives you a real advantage before a listing accumulates a large applicant pool.
Target remote-first companies over hybrid converters
Remote-first technology brands and direct-to-consumer companies have permanent distributed team structures, which means remote marketing and advertising roles stay remote. Companies that shifted to remote temporarily may pull roles back on-site, so look for employers whose job postings consistently describe fully remote structures across multiple open roles.
Remote Marketing And Advertising Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a remote marketing and advertising job?
Target companies that already operate with distributed teams, since they have established workflows for remote marketing and advertising work. Remote employers screen for strong written communication, self-directed project management, and comfort with async collaboration tools like Slack, Asana, and Notion. A portfolio showing campaign results, content output, or paid media performance gives you a concrete edge over candidates who list responsibilities without outcomes.
Which companies hire remote marketing and advertisings?
Companies hiring remote marketing and advertisings right now include Brodart, Zip Aviation, and Suser Media, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Remote-first technology companies, direct-to-consumer e-commerce brands, and digital media firms account for a large share of these openings, given their distributed team structures and reliance on digital marketing channels.
Can you get a remote marketing and advertising job with no experience?
Yes, but remote entry-level marketing and advertising roles are harder to land because employers expect you to work independently from day one without in-person supervision. You can strengthen your case by showing freelance projects, spec campaigns, or volunteer content work that demonstrates output, not just interest. Remote-first startups and small e-commerce brands hire entry-level candidates who come in with demonstrable channel skills, such as paid social, email, or SEO.
Do you need a degree for remote marketing and advertising jobs?
Not always. Remote marketing and advertising employers frequently weigh a demonstrable portfolio, measurable campaign results, and channel-specific certifications alongside or instead of a degree. Roles focused on performance marketing, content, or social media tend to prioritize proof of output, and candidates who can show concrete results from past work often advance past those with credentials but no clear track of deliverables.
Which industries hire the most remote marketing and advertisings?
Remote marketing and advertising roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. These sectors rely heavily on digital distribution and distributed team structures, which makes fully remote marketing and advertising work a practical default rather than an exception.
