About MachineMaze
MachineMaze is a global precision manufacturing and engineering company serving leading OEMs and industrial customers across North America, Europe, and India.
Over the past 24 months, MachineMaze has rapidly transformed its business from being primarily India-focused to becoming an increasingly global organization, with the United States now representing its largest market. The company works with customers across the Eastern and Western United States and operates through a fully owned U.S. subsidiary, alongside its operations in India and Europe.
MachineMaze combines engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, quality, and supply-chain capabilities to deliver precision-engineered components and assemblies to global customers.
We are now looking to build a strong local commercial and technical presence in the U.S. and are seeking an entrepreneurial Sales Engineer to join our growing North American organization.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer with strong commercial instincts who wants to play a meaningful role in building a rapidly growing international manufacturing business.
The role will act as an extended arm of MachineMaze's India operations in North America, connecting customers, sales representatives, engineering teams, manufacturing teams, and the leadership team.
The successful candidate will initially focus on the Great Lakes/Rust Belt region — particularly Michigan and Ohio — while developing relationships and business opportunities across the broader United States.
This is not a desk-based sales role. We are looking for someone who is comfortable finding opportunities, understanding customer requirements, building relationships, solving problems, and owning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Lead Generation
- Identify and develop new customer opportunities across the U.S., with an initial focus on the Midwest/Rust Belt.
- Generate leads through direct prospecting, industry networks, trade shows, referrals, online research, industry databases, and other relevant channels.
- Identify target OEMs, Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers, industrial companies, and other potential customers aligned with MachineMaze's capabilities.
- Develop relationships with engineering, sourcing, purchasing, operations, and senior management teams at prospective customers.
- Convert qualified opportunities into RFQs, projects, and long-term customer relationships.
- Maintain a structured sales pipeline and provide regular updates to leadership.
2. Management of Existing U.S. Customers
- Act as a key account manager for assigned MachineMaze customers in the United States.
- Develop strong relationships with existing customers and identify opportunities for increasing business volumes and expanding the scope of engagement.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and proactively address commercial, technical, quality, delivery, and service-related issues.
- Work with customers to understand their future requirements, programs, forecasts, and sourcing opportunities.
- Identify opportunities for MachineMaze to expand its share of customer business.
3. Coordination with U.S. Sales Representative Network
- Work closely with MachineMaze's existing network of state and regional sales representative agencies across the Eastern United States.
- Coordinate lead generation, customer introductions, RFQs, quotations, and follow-ups with these agencies.
- Ensure that sales representatives have the technical and commercial information required to effectively represent MachineMaze.
- Track opportunities generated through the representative network and drive them toward closure.
- Develop additional sales channels where required.
4. India–U.S. Customer & Operations Coordination
- Serve as a critical link between U.S. customers and MachineMaze's operational teams in India.
- Coordinate closely with engineering, production, quality, logistics, finance, and supply-chain teams in India.
- Ensure customer requirements are clearly understood and communicated internally.
- Monitor order execution, production, quality, shipment schedules, and delivery performance.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues before they become customer problems.
- Maintain a high level of customer communication throughout the order lifecycle.
5. Technical & Engineering Engagement
- Understand customer drawings, specifications, manufacturing requirements, and engineering challenges.
- Work with MachineMaze's engineering and manufacturing teams to develop appropriate solutions.
- Participate in technical discussions with customers and support the RFQ and quotation process.
- Help customers understand MachineMaze's manufacturing capabilities and value proposition.
- Develop sufficient technical depth to independently identify potential manufacturing opportunities.
6. Travel & Customer Engagement
- Travel across the United States to visit existing and prospective customers.
- Attend trade shows, industry events, supplier meetings, and customer meetings.
- Travel to MachineMaze's India operations when required to understand manufacturing capabilities, meet engineering/operations teams, and align with business objectives.
- Be willing to travel based on customer and business requirements.
7. Building the North American Business
- Contribute to the development of MachineMaze's broader North American commercial strategy.
- Help identify new markets, customers, products, and applications.
- Provide market intelligence and feedback from U.S. customers to the India leadership team.
- Help build processes for customer management, forecasting, sales reporting, and business development.
- Take increasing ownership of the North American business as the organization grows.
Who We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who combines engineering understanding with a strong entrepreneurial and commercial mindset.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Approximately 3–8 years of experience in technical sales, sales engineering, manufacturing, automotive, industrial products, precision machining, or a related industry.
- Experience working with OEMs, Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers, industrial customers, or manufacturing companies is strongly preferred.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings, manufacturing processes, and technical specifications.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a territory with significant autonomy.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively when required.
- Comfortable working across cultures and time zones.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to take ownership beyond a narrowly defined job description.
What Will Make You Successful
The person who succeeds in this role will be someone who:
- Creates opportunities rather than waiting for leads.
- Is comfortable picking up the phone and approaching a new customer.
- Can have a technical conversation with an engineer and a commercial conversation with a purchasing manager.
- Builds genuine long-term customer relationships.
- Takes ownership when something goes wrong rather than simply escalating it.
- Can operate independently while leveraging a large technical and operational organization in India.
- Is curious about manufacturing and wants to understand how things are actually made.
- Has the ambition to grow with the company.
Growth Opportunity
This role is designed with significant career progression in mind.
As MachineMaze's North American business expands, the successful candidate can grow from a Sales Engineer into progressively larger commercial and leadership responsibilities, potentially including:
Sales Engineer → Senior Sales / Key Account Manager → Regional Business Head → North America P&L Leadership
The long-term opportunity is to become a key member of MachineMaze's North American leadership team with responsibility for revenue growth, customers, sales strategy, and eventually the P&L for the region.
The candidate will also gain exposure to a global manufacturing organization spanning North America, Europe, and India, and will work directly with senior leadership as the company scales internationally.
Reporting
The position will report directly to:
- CEO, MachineMaze
- President, MachineMaze United States
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary starting at approximately $70,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
- Performance-linked annual bonus/incentive structure.
- U.S. healthcare benefits.
- Paid time off and standard employee benefits.
- Business travel reimbursement.
- Opportunity for increasing compensation and responsibility based on performance and growth of the North American business.
- Flexible working arrangement, initially operating primarily from a home office.
Why Join MachineMaze?
This is an opportunity to join a company at an important inflection point in its international growth.
MachineMaze has already established significant customer traction in the United States. The next phase is about building a stronger local presence, deepening existing customer relationships, and aggressively expanding the North American business.
You will have the resources of a substantial engineering, manufacturing, quality, and operations organization in India behind you — while having the autonomy and visibility of being part of a relatively small U.S. team.
If you want to be part of building a global manufacturing company rather than simply managing a sales territory, this role is for you.

Benefits:
- Cell phone reimbursement
- Health insurance
- Paid time off
- Work from home

Tips for Your Remote Sales Job Search
Apply early to remote roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists remote sales openings from across the U.S. in one place, so you can find roles that match your background and apply directly without sorting through mixed location results. Applying within the first few days of a posting going live puts you ahead of the bulk of applicants.
Prove async communication skills upfront
Remote sales teams rely on written communication daily, from Slack threads to email sequences to CRM notes. Rewrite your resume bullets to show outcomes you drove without in-person collaboration, and make your cover letter clear and concise enough to stand alone without a follow-up call.
Highlight CRM and remote-tool fluency
Remote sales employers expect you to manage your own pipeline from day one. Call out your hands-on experience with tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, or Zoom directly in your resume skills section, not buried in job descriptions.
Prepare for a multi-round video interview
Remote sales interviews often include a recorded async screening, a live video call, and a mock pitch or role-play. Practice delivering your value proposition on camera, with a clean background and reliable audio, before the first round.
Remote Sales Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a remote sales job?
Target companies that are remote-first or run fully distributed sales teams, since they have built the infrastructure to onboard and manage salespeople without an office. Remote employers screen for self-direction, strong written communication, and comfort with async tools like Slack and CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot. Showing a history of hitting quota independently and documenting your process clearly gives you a real edge over candidates who rely on in-office coaching.
Which companies hire remote saless?
Companies hiring remote saless right now include Ingersoll-Rand, SPR Therapeutics, and Fiserv, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. These tend to be remote-first SaaS companies, distributed fintech firms, and healthcare technology organizations that run their entire sales motion through digital channels and async communication.
Can you get a remote sales job with no experience?
Yes, but entry-level remote sales roles are harder to land than in-office equivalents because employers expect you to self-manage from day one with minimal hand-holding. Remote-first SaaS startups and high-growth technology companies are the most likely to hire junior SDRs or BDRs remotely. You can strengthen your case by showing cold outreach samples, a completed sales methodology course, or measurable results from any customer-facing or persuasion-heavy work.
Do you need a degree for remote sales jobs?
Not always. Most remote sales employers care far more about your ability to hit quota, manage a pipeline, and communicate clearly in writing than about a specific credential. For SDR and AE roles, demonstrating a consistent close rate, proficiency with CRM tools, and strong async communication skills will carry more weight than a degree on its own.
Which industries hire the most remote saless?
Most remote sales openings sit in Manufacturing, Biotechnology & Pharmaceuticals, and Fashion & Apparel, per current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. These sectors hire salespeople remotely because their products are sold digitally, their buyers are distributed across time zones, and their deal cycles are managed entirely through video calls, email, and CRM platforms.
