About this Role:
In this role, you will act as a core engine for both strategic sourcing and procurement operations. You will fully own the end-to-end sourcing and negotiation lifecycle for our mid-tier spend bucket ($25k–$250k contract value), manage day-to-day procurement operations, and project-manage the digital transformation of our intake-to-pay infrastructure. This is an exceptional opportunity for a builder who loves both negotiation and process optimization.
Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation (40%)
- Proactively manage and execute the sourcing and negotiation lifecycle for $25k–$250k contracts, focusing heavily on SaaS, Tech, and Professional Services.
- Develop sourcing strategies that optimize vendor selection, maximize commercial leverage, and protect Lyra’s margins.
2. Procurement Operations & Tech Stack Transformation (40%)
- Serve as the dedicated Project Manager for our Intake-to-Pay (P2P) platform implementation, collaborating with IT, Legal, and Finance to ensure a seamless rollout.
- Manage day-to-day administration and optimization of our core fintech and procurement tools, including Navan and Brex.
3. Data Analytics & Stakeholder Collaboration (20%)
- Act as an Excel power-user; analyze large datasets, identify spend trends, catch auto-renewals early, and eliminate maverick spend.
- Sanitize and structure spend data to provide granular insights for our annual Zero-Based Budgeting (ZBB) process.
- Build cross-functional relationships with Legal, InfoSec, Privacy, AI, Tech, and FP&A to ensure all operational intake requirements are automated and compliant.
Qualifications
- Experience: 4+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement operations, or supply chain management, preferably within a high-growth tech or healthcare environment.
- SaaS & Category Expertise: Proven track record of independently negotiating mid-tier technology (SaaS), Marketing, Consulting, and Professional Services contracts.
- Systems Fluent: Hands-on experience with modern Procurement/P2P software and Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools. Experience leading or heavily supporting a P2P tool implementation is a massive plus.
- Analytical Polish: Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills with the ability to turn spend data into highly structured, actionable information.
- Project Management: Exceptional time-management and project management skills; ability to balance running multiple fast-moving sourcing projects simultaneously with a major software rollout.
- Communication: Ability to navigate cross-functional bottlenecks and negotiate effectively with vendors.
As a full-time Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will be employed by Lyra Health, Inc. The anticipated annual base salary range for this full-time position is $85,000 - $117,000. The base range is determined by role and level, and placement within the range will depend on a number of job-related factors, including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.

- Comprehensive healthcare coverage (including medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, life and disability insurances)
- Lyra for Lyrians; coaching and therapy services
- Equity in the company through discretionary restricted stock units
- Competitive time off with pay policies including vacation, sick days, and company holidays
- Paid parental leave
- 401K with up to 3% matching
- Monthly tech allowance
- We like to spread joy throughout the year with well-being perks and activities, surprise swag, regular community celebration…and more!

Tips for Your Remote Sourcing Manager Job Search
Apply early to remote roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists remote sourcing manager openings from across the U.S. in one place, so you can find roles that match your background and apply directly without sifting through unrelated listings. Applying early matters because remote roles often close faster than on-site ones.
Prove async communication skills upfront
Remote sourcing managers coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders almost entirely in writing. Make your application materials, especially your cover letter, a demonstration of that skill. Clear, direct written communication signals to remote employers that you can operate without in-person check-ins.
Show your procurement tools fluency
Remote employers expect sourcing managers to be self-sufficient in tools like Coupa, SAP Ariba, or similar procurement platforms from day one. Name the specific tools you have used in your resume and be ready to discuss how you used them independently in remote or hybrid settings.
Frame results around supplier and cost outcomes
Remote hiring managers can't observe your work process, so they rely entirely on documented results. Quantify supplier negotiations, lead time reductions, or cost savings in your resume. Concrete outcomes give remote employers confidence you'll deliver without direct supervision.
Prepare for remote-specific interview questions
Remote sourcing interviews frequently include questions about how you manage supplier relationships across time zones, handle urgent procurement issues without in-person escalation, and stay organized across multiple vendor pipelines. Practice answers that show independent decision-making and structured communication habits.
Remote Sourcing Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a remote sourcing manager job?
Target companies built around distributed teams and remote operations, since they hire sourcing managers who can work independently without on-site oversight. Remote employers screen hard for self-direction, clear written communication, and proficiency with procurement platforms and collaboration tools. Candidates who can document sourcing wins, cost-reduction outcomes, and supplier negotiation results in writing stand out most in remote hiring processes.
Which companies hire remote sourcing managers?
Remote sourcing manager roles are posted by Accenture, Alvarez & Marsal, and Vf Services and others right now, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Remote-first firms, e-commerce operations, and technology companies with distributed procurement teams are the most consistent employers of sourcing managers working fully remote.
Can you get a remote sourcing manager job with no experience?
Yes, but remote entry-level sourcing roles are harder to land because employers expect you to manage suppliers and solve procurement problems with minimal day-to-day guidance. Smaller remote-first companies and startups are the most likely to hire entry-level candidates. Showing initiative through freelance procurement projects, internships, or documented cost-saving work in any context can substitute for a formal title.
Do you need a degree for remote sourcing manager jobs?
Not always. Many remote employers weigh demonstrable sourcing skills, supplier relationship experience, and familiarity with procurement software over a specific degree. A background in supply chain, business, or operations is common, but candidates who can show concrete results, such as negotiated savings or supplier onboarding experience, regularly compete without a four-year degree.
Which industries hire the most remote sourcing managers?
Most remote sourcing manager openings sit in Consulting & Professional Services, Technology & Software, and Healthcare & Medical Services, per current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. These sectors rely on distributed procurement teams to coordinate suppliers and vendor relationships across multiple regions without requiring sourcing staff to be on-site.
