Restaurant Assistant Manager Jobs in Brooklyn: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a restaurant assistant manager job in Brooklyn?
Focus your search on Williamsburg, Downtown Brooklyn, and the waterfront corridor in DUMBO, where full-service restaurants, hotel dining programs, and fast-casual groups post the most openings. Candidates with floor management experience, scheduling ownership, and demonstrated ability to run shifts without supervision stand out. Familiarity with high-volume weekend service and Brooklyn's competitive brunch culture gives you a real edge with local hiring managers.
Which companies hire restaurant assistant managers in Brooklyn?
Brooklyn restaurant assistant manager roles are posted by Raising Cane's, sociale, and MARCO POLO and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Brooklyn's employer mix includes independent multi-location groups, hospitality-driven hotel food and beverage programs, and regional fast-casual operators with flagship locations in the borough.
Are there remote restaurant assistant manager jobs in Brooklyn?
Yes, though remote work is rare for restaurant assistant managers given the hands-on nature of floor supervision, staff scheduling, and daily operations. About 0% of restaurant assistant manager openings tied to Brooklyn are remote or hybrid as of November 2026, and those typically involve administrative or multi-unit coordination functions. On-site presence is the norm for roles tied to a specific Brooklyn location.
How can I get a restaurant assistant manager job in Brooklyn with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Brooklyn is moving up from a senior front-of-house role, such as lead server, shift supervisor, or bar team lead, at a high-volume Brooklyn restaurant. Independent groups in Williamsburg and Park Slope regularly promote from within, and fast-casual operators with multiple Brooklyn locations often hire internal candidates into their first assistant manager role. Showing you can run a floor independently, even informally, makes the strongest case.
