Restaurant Operations Management Jobs in Vermont: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a restaurant operations management in Vermont?
Most Vermont employers require a combination of hands-on restaurant experience and a ServSafe Manager certification, which is widely accepted statewide and satisfies food safety training expectations. A degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field strengthens candidacy, though many employers prioritize progressive operational experience. Vermont does not issue a state-specific restaurant manager license, so building a record of multi-unit or department-level responsibility is the clearest path to operations management roles.
Which companies hire restaurant operations managements in Vermont?
Employers hiring restaurant operations managements in Vermont right now include Dunkin', Burger King, and Beta Technologies, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Vermont's mix of ski resort hospitality, farm-to-table independents, and regional chains means openings appear across both seasonal and year-round operations.
Which Vermont cities have the most restaurant operations management jobs?
Williston, Brattleboro, and South Burlington account for the most restaurant operations management openings in Vermont. Burlington drives volume as the state's largest city and a dense concentration of full-service restaurants and hotel food and beverage programs, while Stowe and surrounding mountain communities sustain demand through resort operators that run large, multi-outlet dining programs year-round.
Are there remote restaurant operations management jobs in Vermont?
Yes, but they're rare. About 13% of restaurant operations management openings tied to Vermont are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how fundamentally on-site this role is. The portions most suited to remote work involve reporting, scheduling, and vendor coordination, while floor oversight, staff coaching, and compliance walkthroughs require a physical presence.
How can I get hired as a restaurant operations management in Vermont with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving up from a shift supervisor or assistant manager role within a Vermont resort or full-service restaurant group, where internal promotion is common. Employers such as Stowe Mountain Resort and larger Burlington hotel food and beverage operations frequently develop assistant managers into area oversight roles. Earning a ServSafe Manager certification and building experience with scheduling software and cost reporting gives candidates a measurable edge when applying for first operations management positions.
Where can I find and apply to restaurant operations management jobs in Vermont?
You can find and apply to restaurant operations management jobs in Vermont on Migrate Mate, which lists current Vermont openings updated regularly. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your experience and target location, and apply directly to each employer through the listing.
