- Enforce safety policies with craft employees, foremen, subcontractors, and project management teams.
- Identify unsafe conditions and implement immediate corrective actions to prevent incidents.
- Complete and maintain accurate documentation, including inspections, incident reports, corrective actions, and safety training records.
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and field leadership to address safety concerns and improve jobsite safety performance.
- Monitor changing jobsite conditions, including work at heights, scaffolding, ladders, excavations, heavy equipment, and other construction activities.
- Deliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training to reinforce safe work practices.
- Maintain a visible field presence and proactively identify opportunities to improve overall safety performance.
Requirements
Candidates must meet one of the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
- Associate's degree in Construction, Engineering, or Safety plus 2+ years of direct construction safety experience.
- Professional safety certification (CHST, CSP, ASP, or equivalent) plus 3+ years of direct construction safety experience.
- 4+ years of construction industry experience plus 3+ years of direct safety oversight in commercial construction.
