Focus your search on the sectors that hire most heavily in Los Angeles: entertainment and media, technology, real estate, and healthcare services. Roles concentrate in Downtown LA, Century City, El Segundo, and the Westside. Candidates who can show familiarity with LA's relationship-driven business culture, whether through local industry events, a strong referral network, or demonstrated territory experience in Southern California, tend to stand out.

How can I get a sales job in Los Angeles with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Los Angeles is through business development representative or sales development representative roles at tech startups and SaaS companies in Santa Monica, Culver City, and the broader Westside tech corridor. Many of these employers hire candidates with strong communication skills and a bachelor's degree over direct sales experience. Retail sales at major brands or leasing consultant roles at large residential property management companies are also strong lateral starting points locally.
