Sales Jobs in Syracuse: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a sales job in Syracuse?
The most effective approach in Syracuse is to target the sectors driving local hiring: healthcare systems, regional banks and insurance firms, technology services companies, and business-to-business distributors clustered around the I-90 corridor. Candidates who know the local market, have experience selling to institutional or mid-market buyers, and can point to measurable results tend to move faster through the process here than those relying on generic applications.
Which companies hire saless in Syracuse?
Companies currently hiring saless in Syracuse include AutoZone, Uline, and Spectrum, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Syracuse's employer base skews toward regional healthcare networks, financial services firms, and mid-size technology and distribution companies that run dedicated sales teams rather than relying solely on national account structures.
Are there remote sales jobs in Syracuse?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the type of sales role, since field and territory positions tied to local accounts require in-person presence while inside sales and account management roles often allow remote or hybrid arrangements. About 32% of sales openings tied to Syracuse are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with the flexibility concentrated in software, insurance, and B2B services roles. On-site presence is still common for healthcare and retail-facing positions.
How can I get a sales job in Syracuse with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point in Syracuse is inside sales or business development representative roles at technology services firms and regional insurance companies, which regularly hire candidates without extensive experience and provide structured training. Syracuse University and Le Moyne College alumni networks connect new graduates to local employers, and retail management experience at Destiny USA or downtown outlets is often treated as a credible foundation for B2C and B2B sales roles in the area.
Which industries hire the most saless in Syracuse?
The sectors hiring the most saless in Syracuse are Distribution & Wholesale, Manufacturing, and Biotechnology & Pharmaceuticals, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Syracuse's role as a regional healthcare hub, combined with a growing technology services presence and a well-established financial services sector, keeps consistent demand for sales professionals across contract cycles throughout the year.
