Sales Representative
Waybe | Residential Construction + Physical AI
Waybe is rebuilding residential construction from the ground up.
Today, homeowners navigate a fragmented system of contractors, distributors, suppliers, markups, scheduling, and manual coordination. Waybe is building a different model: a vertically integrated platform designed to take a project from mineral to home, using software, AI, manufacturing, and eventually robotics to dramatically reduce the cost and complexity of building and improving homes.
We are already helping homeowners complete projects at costs that can be 50–100% below traditional market pricing. What we are building next goes much further.
We are looking for an exceptional Sales Representative to help bring Waybe to homeowners, builders, partners, and communities across the country.
This is not a traditional sales role
You won't be selling another piece of software or trying to convince someone to switch from one nearly identical product to another.
You will be selling a fundamentally different way to build.
Our pitch is simple:
Better construction. Radically lower cost. A dramatically better customer experience.
Waybe is eliminating layers of middlemen throughout residential construction and replacing them with technology, direct sourcing, automation, and an increasingly vertically integrated supply chain.
That creates an unusual sales opportunity: the customer can win economically while Waybe builds an enormous business.
What you'll do
You will own opportunities from the first conversation through project commitment and help develop the playbook that Waybe uses as we scale.
You will:
- Speak with homeowners and customers interested in completing residential construction projects through Waybe.
- Understand the customer's project, budget, timeline, and goals.
- Explain how Waybe's model differs from the traditional contractor ecosystem.
- Convert inbound demand and referrals into active projects.
- Proactively develop new opportunities and local market relationships.
- Build relationships with builders, developers, real estate professionals, property managers, community partners, and other potential distribution channels.
- Work directly with operations and construction teams to ensure a seamless handoff from sale to execution.
- Help identify friction in the customer journey and work with product and engineering to eliminate it.
- Experiment with new sales motions, partnerships, geographies, and customer acquisition strategies.
- Help create the sales systems, processes, messaging, and playbooks that future Waybe sales teams will use.
- Become an expert in Waybe's long-term vision and communicate that vision in a way that makes customers want to be part of it.
Why this opportunity is different
Waybe is not building a better lead-generation business for contractors.
We are trying to replace the underlying system.
Our long-term platform connects:
Demand → Design → Materials → Manufacturing → Logistics → Installation → Inspection
Over time, more of that system will be executed autonomously through AI, drones, robotics, and advanced manufacturing.
We believe residential construction is becoming a physical AI problem.
The sales organization joining Waybe today has the opportunity to build customer demand ahead of that transformation.
That means this role can grow far beyond carrying a quota. The people who prove they can create repeatable growth will have the opportunity to become market leaders, sales leaders, partnership leaders, and potentially executives as Waybe expands.
Who we're looking for
We care much more about ability than pedigree.
You may come from construction, roofing, solar, home improvement, real estate, technology, high-growth startups, or an entirely different industry.
You are probably a fit if:
- You are extremely comfortable talking to people.
- You can earn trust quickly.
- You are competitive and motivated by winning.
- You can explain complicated ideas simply.
- You are comfortable operating without a perfectly defined playbook.
- You see ambiguity as an opportunity rather than a problem.
- You follow up relentlessly.
- You care about the customer experience after the sale, not just closing the deal.
- You want to build something rather than simply inherit a territory.
- You are excited by AI, automation, manufacturing, robotics, or the future of construction.
- You want your upside to be connected to the value you create.
Construction experience is useful, but not required.
Exceptional people learn quickly.
The kind of person who will thrive here
Waybe is early.
Things will move fast. Products will change. Sales strategies will evolve. New markets will open. Some experiments will fail and others may grow extraordinarily quickly.
If you need a mature organization, a fixed script, a narrow job description, and someone telling you exactly what to do every day, this probably isn't the right role.
If you want to be able to say:
"I helped build the sales organization when Waybe was just getting started."
You should talk to us.
The upside
This is an opportunity to join the commercial side of Waybe while the company is still being built.
For exceptional performers, there is significant room to grow in responsibility, compensation, leadership, and ownership as the company scales.
We aren't looking for people who simply want another sales job.
We're looking for people who want to help build the company that changes how homes get built.
About Waybe
Waybe is building an AI-native residential construction company designed to radically compress the cost, time, and complexity required to build and improve homes.
Software is the beginning.
Manufacturing, logistics, drones, robotics, and autonomous construction are where we're going.
Mineral to home.
