Security Product Manager Jobs in Colorado: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a security product manager in Colorado?
Most Colorado security product manager roles require a bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field paired with hands-on product management experience in a security context. There is no state-issued license specific to the role, but certifications like Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Product Manager credentials strengthen applications significantly. Many Colorado candidates move into the role from software engineering, security analysis, or technical program management backgrounds within the state's defense and tech sectors.
Which companies hire security product managers in Colorado?
Colorado security product manager roles are posted by Keysight Technologies, spire, and Google and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Colorado's concentration of defense contractors, aerospace firms, and cloud software companies makes it one of the more active state markets for this specialization.
Which Colorado cities have the most security product manager jobs?
Boulder, Fort Collins, and Loveland account for the most security product manager openings in Colorado. Denver drives the largest share through its dense cluster of enterprise software and cybersecurity firms, Colorado Springs draws heavily from nearby military installations and defense contractors, and Boulder attracts openings tied to its established technology startup and research ecosystem.
Are there remote security product manager jobs in Colorado?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 100% of security product manager openings tied to Colorado are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of the work centers on roadmapping, stakeholder alignment, and cross-functional collaboration rather than on-site presence. Roles involving classified government programs or hardware security are the most likely to require in-person work.
How can I get hired as a security product manager in Colorado with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving laterally from a security analyst, software engineer, or technical program coordinator role into an associate product manager position. Large Colorado employers like Lockheed Martin and defense-adjacent tech firms occasionally offer rotational or associate PM programs that accept candidates from engineering or security operations backgrounds. Building a portfolio of product artifacts, a security-focused credential such as CompTIA Security+, and contributing to open-source security tooling all strengthen early applications for Colorado roles.
Where can I find and apply to security product manager jobs in Colorado?
