Staff Product Marketing Manager, Access Management and Security
Identity is how organizations unlock AI safely. At Okta, we build the trusted, neutral infrastructure that lets every enterprise embrace this new era with confidence. This is career-defining work for builders and owners who move with urgency and execute with excellence.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Product Marketing, you will be the product marketer for the secure-access layer that makes Okta indispensable to the largest enterprises in the world. Your charter is to elevate identity from a sign-in utility to the control plane for security in the AI era. You will do tis by pairing deep technical credibility with executive-grade storytelling across strategy, content, and field execution.
The ideal candidate will be a unique blend of technologist and business strategist—someone who can dive deep into technical architecture while crafting portfolio-level value propositions that resonate with both CISOs and practitioners. Beyond strategy and content, you must be a self-motivated, execution-oriented individual who stays focused on delivering outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
What you’ll be doing
Strategic GTM for core and hybrid access
Build and execute the go-to-market strategy for Okta's foundational access services — including secure access to hybrid and on-premises business-critical applications — positioning them as an essential pillar of Zero Trust and AI security.
Define the market narrative, ideal customer profile, and competitive positioning that drive Global 2000 expansion, a top company priority.
AI-forward product and content leadership
- Collaborate to define and advance Okta's point of view on securing human, machine, and AI-agent identities, and publish thought leadership that shapes the category.
- Use AI tooling across your own workflow, including research, competitive analysis, content generation, and field enablemen, to produce higher-quality assets in a fraction of the time. This is an expectation of the role, not a nice-to-have.
Technical Evangelism that closes deals
- Collaborate and drive, along with Technical Marketing, to build demos, reference architectures, and proof kits that stand up to practitioner scrutiny and shorten security evaluations.
- Act as a spokesperson with CISOs, architects, and analysts, translating deep technical capability into strategic business outcomes.:
Cross-functional revenue activation
- Partner with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to launch offers
- Equip the field with talk tracks and ROI models, and lead deal-acceleration plays on the largest, most strategic enterprise opportunities.
What you’ll bring to the role
- Domain Expertise: 8+ years of experience as a product marketer or product manager in cybersecurity or identity management (IAM, AD, or Entra ID). You know who the players are, where the gaps lie, and how to win.
- Hands-on Technical Proficiency: A technologist at heart. You must have a track record of supporting technical evaluations, and you must be comfortable configuring and demoing the product to technical buyers.
- Execution-Oriented Storytelling: Proven ability to take "under-the-hood" technology and turn it into an emotional and urgent business story. You know how to rise above the noise and create a sense of urgency.
- Fluency in the security implications of AI, and a track record of using AI tooling to raise your own throughput.
- Experience influencing cross-functional leaders and driving complex programs to deadline.
Extra Credit if you have:
- CS Degree or a strong technical background in systems architecture or engineering.
- Deep experience with modern identity protocols and securing hybrid environments (Cloud and On-Premises).
- Experience in the AI space, specifically regarding the security implications of LLMs and agentic workflows.

Security Product Manager Jobs in Washington: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a security product manager in Washington?
The most direct path is a technical bachelor's degree followed by two or more years in a product, engineering, or security analyst role at a Washington technology or defense employer. Washington has no state-issued license for product managers, but industry certifications such as Certified Information Security Manager or Certified Product Manager are common differentiators. Many candidates move into the role from program management, security engineering, or solutions architecture positions at companies in the Seattle metro corridor.
Which companies hire security product managers in Washington?
Employers hiring security product managers in Washington right now include Okta, Amazon, and Apple, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Washington's concentration of cloud, defense, and enterprise software companies means security product roles here tend to sit inside large, multi-team organizations rather than early-stage startups.
Which Washington cities have the most security product manager jobs?
Seattle, Bellevue, and Tacoma have the most security product manager openings in Washington. Seattle and Bellevue drive the majority of postings because of their dense cluster of cloud and cybersecurity companies, while Redmond's presence reflects Microsoft's large security product organization, and any suburban or mid-size cities on the list typically correspond to a major employer's campus or regional office anchoring local hiring.
Are there remote security product manager jobs in Washington?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 78% of security product manager openings tied to Washington are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the desk-based, collaboration-tool-driven nature of product work. The parts of the role most likely to stay fully remote are roadmap planning, stakeholder communication, and documentation, while roles tied to hardware security, on-site compliance audits, or classified defense programs tend to require in-person attendance.
How can I get hired as a security product manager in Washington with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is transitioning from a security analyst, software engineer, or technical program coordinator role into an associate product manager position. Microsoft and Amazon both run structured Associate Product Manager programs in Washington that are open to candidates without formal product management experience. Building a portfolio of product requirement documents or case studies around a security problem, and earning a Certified Information Security Manager or similar credential, gives candidates without a traditional PM background a concrete edge during the screening process.
Where can I find and apply to security product manager jobs in Washington?
You can find and apply to security product manager jobs in Washington on Migrate Mate, which lists current Washington openings. Find roles that fit your background and apply directly to the ones that match.
