Customer Program Manager Jobs in Colorado: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a customer program manager in Colorado?
Most customer program manager roles in Colorado require a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, communications, or a related field, with no state-issued license specific to the title. Colorado employers, particularly those in aerospace and defense, often prioritize a PMP credential from the Project Management Institute and experience managing government or enterprise accounts. Building experience in account management, project coordination, or customer success roles first is the most common path into the position.
Which companies hire customer program managers in Colorado?
Companies currently hiring customer program managers in Colorado include Lockheed Martin, Softek, and Gogo Business Aviation, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Colorado's concentration of defense contractors and enterprise technology firms means openings frequently require familiarity with government contracts or large-scale SaaS deployments.
Which Colorado cities have the most customer program manager jobs?
Englewood, Colorado Springs, and Broomfield have the most customer program manager openings in Colorado. Denver drives the largest volume through its headquarters concentration in technology and telecommunications, while Colorado Springs benefits from the dense cluster of defense and aerospace contractors supporting nearby military installations, and Boulder's research and software sectors generate consistent demand at mid-senior levels.
Are there remote customer program manager jobs in Colorado?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 50% of customer program manager openings tied to Colorado are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of the work centers on communication, reporting, and virtual stakeholder coordination. Strategic planning, customer success reviews, and program status meetings translate well to remote formats, making this one of the more flexible management roles in the state.
How can I get hired as a customer program manager in Colorado with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into the role from an adjacent position such as project coordinator, account associate, or customer success specialist at a Colorado technology or defense firm. Large Colorado employers including Lockheed Martin and Comcast run rotational or associate program manager tracks that accept candidates with a bachelor's degree and limited direct experience. Earning a CAPM credential from the Project Management Institute before applying gives candidates a measurable edge over other entry-level applicants.
