Security Sales Engineer Jobs in Mountain View: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a security sales engineer job in Mountain View?
The strongest path is targeting Mountain View's dense concentration of cybersecurity vendors, cloud platform companies, and enterprise software firms clustered around North Bayshore and Moffett Park. Familiarity with network security, identity management, or zero-trust architecture stands out here. Candidates who can demonstrate technical depth alongside commercial instincts, whether through prior SE roles, solutions consulting, or pre-sales experience, move fastest in this market.
Which companies hire security sales engineers in Mountain View?
Companies currently hiring security sales engineers in Mountain View include Google, ServiceNow, and Intuit, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Mountain View's employer base skews heavily toward established technology platforms and growth-stage cybersecurity vendors, both of which rely on security sales engineers to support complex enterprise deals.
Are there remote security sales engineer jobs in Mountain View?
Yes, though with limits, since security sales engineering often requires on-site product demos, customer briefings, and proof-of-concept engagements. About 44% of security sales engineer openings tied to Mountain View are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with remote options most common for the technical scoping and documentation portions of the role rather than the customer-facing field work.
How can I get a security sales engineer job in Mountain View with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a sales engineering role from a technical support, solutions consultant, or IT infrastructure position at one of Mountain View's mid-size cybersecurity vendors, where smaller teams create room for internal transitions. Associate SE and pre-sales engineer titles are the most common starting points locally. A working knowledge of firewall, endpoint, or cloud security products gives candidates a clear edge over generalist applicants.
Which industries hire the most security sales engineers in Mountain View?
Mountain View security sales engineer roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Retail, and Science & Research, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Mountain View's identity as a hub for cloud and enterprise software companies means these sectors generate consistent security sales engineer demand, particularly as vendors expand their go-to-market teams to address growing enterprise security budgets.
