INTRODUCTION
Directs, plans, and organizes the Clinical Laboratory Support staff and activities as well as optimizing the use of technology solutions in support of the strategic plan and the needs of patients, the physicians/clinicians and the community. Works with the leadership to build relationships with key stakeholders, promote departmental optimization, and build adoption of solutions that facilitate meeting the goals and objectives of the enterprise.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads a Clinical Laboratory Support group by communication with and developing staff members, and building consensus for programs and goals that support a business, function or geographic area.
- Develops and articulates a short-term strategic vision for areas of responsibility.
- Under the direction of the leadership, plans, organizes and directs the staff and activities as well as optimizing the use of technology solutions in support of the strategic plan and the needs of patients, the physicians/clinicians and the community.
- Works with senior leaders at the facilities and Corporate IT to build relationships with key stakeholders, promote departmental optimization, and build adoption of solutions that facilitate meeting the goals and objectives of the enterprise.
- Performs related duties as required. All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Duties not mentioned here, but considered related are not essential functions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- 8-12 years of relevant experience and 7+ years of leadership / management experience, required.
