OUR VALUES
- Be the offset. We create asymmetric advantages with creativity and ingenuity.

- It’s the people. Our team is our competitive advantage and we are better together.
YOUR MISSION
True Anomaly is seeking a Senior Director of Manufacturing, New Product Introduction to own how our new product lines get built, translating product designs into fully operational, qualified production lines that deliver quality hardware at rate. This individual will build the facilities, teams, and manufacturing processes required to industrialize new products, serving as the connective tissue between engineering, programs, and facilities.
This is a fast-paced, dynamic role with broad scope and deep technical content. The right person thrives in ambiguity, builds systems where none exist, and leaves behind durable teams, culture, and best practices across manufacturing and test.
Key Responsibilities
- Own accountability for how new products are manufactured, from influencing a product design through a completed, qualified production line producing quality products at rate.
- Develop and mature production processes, defining, specifying and building manufacturing and test equipment required for each new product line.
- Design and stand up manufacturing and testing facilities to support new product introduction.
- Collaborate with Facilities on near- and long-term facility requirements for manufacturing, including facility design, production flow, equipment requirements, and equipment maintenance plans.
- Build teams from the ground up, defining the near term organizational structure required to set the foundation, hiring, and developing talent across manufacturing and test disciplines.
- Establish culture, processes, and lasting best practices spanning manufacturing and test operations.
- Partner closely with Engineering to translate design and quality specifications into manufacturable, testable processes.
- Collaborate with Programs to forecast production rate requirements and align capacity to demand.
- Transition mature, qualified production lines to the production organization for ongoing operations and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of manufacturing experience, including extensive new product introduction and production ramp leadership, with a track record of leading at the director level or above.
- Demonstrated success standing up multiple production lines and/or manufacturing facilities from concept to full-rate production.
- Strong technical background—an engineering degree or hands-on technical experience in manufacturing environments.
- Strong background in production process development, equipment definition, and manufacturing/test operations.
- Proven ability to build, scale, and lead multi-disciplinary organizations, including hiring leaders and developing talent at scale.
- Executive-level cross-functional collaboration skills across engineering, program management, and facilities.
- Deep understanding of quality systems and translating design specifications into repeatable, high-quality production.
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-growth, ambiguous environment with significant autonomy and ownership.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or other complex, high-reliability hardware environments strongly preferred.
Preferred
- Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with rate-driven manufacturing and capacity planning.
- Lean/Six Sigma or equivalent operational excellence expertise.
COMPENSATION
- Base Salary: $180,000-$285,000
- Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave

Tips for Your Senior Director Of Product Job Search
Quantify product impact at scale
Your resume needs to show outcomes at the portfolio or platform level, not just single-product wins. Frame contributions around revenue influenced, adoption rates across product lines, or org-wide efficiency gains your product decisions drove.
Tailor your leadership narrative
Job postings for senior director of product roles weight cross-functional leadership heavily. Call out the size and structure of the teams you've led, including PMs, designers, and data analysts, and how you aligned them around a common roadmap.
Apply early to roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists senior director of product openings from across the United States in one place, so you can find roles that match and apply directly to each listing.
Filter openings by product stage
Senior director of product mandates differ sharply between growth-stage and mature-product companies. When searching, prioritize listings that name a specific stage, whether scaling, platform consolidation, or 0-to-1 builds, so your experience aligns before you apply.
Prepare a product strategy case study
Many senior director of product interviews include a take-home or live strategy exercise. Have a ready example of a market problem you diagnosed, the product bet you made, and the outcome, structured well enough to present in under ten minutes.
Negotiate scope before you negotiate comp
At the senior director level, title and reporting structure matter as much as salary. Clarify whether the role reports directly to a CPO or VP, how many direct reports you'll have, and whether budget ownership is included before you accept an offer.

How do you become a senior director of product?
Most senior director of product roles require a progression from individual contributor PM to group product manager or director before stepping into a senior director mandate. What does the senior director of product interview process look like?
The senior director of product interview process typically runs four to six stages. Expect an initial recruiter screen, a hiring manager conversation focused on leadership philosophy and product vision, a panel with cross-functional partners such as engineering and design, and a strategy or product critique exercise.
