Location: Remote, Florida
Zen Media is a leading B2B marketing and PR agency helping enterprise software, healthcare technology, professional services, and manufacturing brands achieve measurable growth and industry leadership.
For years, brands focused on Google rankings. Today, buyers increasingly rely on AI-generated answers when researching vendors, comparing solutions, and building shortlists.
Zen Media is helping define the next evolution of search: AI Visibility.
We analyze how brands appear inside generative AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity, and implement strategies to improve their presence in AI-generated recommendations.
We are now hiring an AI Visibility Specialist to help scale this capability.
Role Overview
This role sits at the intersection of SEO, AI search, PR, and structured content optimization. The AI Visibility Specialist analyzes how brands appear across generative AI platforms and develops strategies to improve their presence in AI-generated answers.
Unlike traditional SEO roles focused mainly on keyword rankings, this role focuses on how large language models interpret, reference, and recommend brands.
You will work with AI visibility diagnostics, prompt testing frameworks, schema analysis, and long-form content strategies designed to improve AI discoverability.
This role reports to the Director of Marketing and collaborates closely with the marketing and content teams.

- Conduct schema and structured data audits to improve machine readability
- Optimize page structures so AI systems can easily extract relevant information
- Perform keyword and entity research supporting SEO and AI visibility
- Monitor responses across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity to identify patterns
- Collaborate with marketing teams to improve search and AI visibility performance
- Stay updated on trends in AI search behavior and LLM citation patterns
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of SEO experience, ideally in a digital marketing or B2B agency
- Strong understanding of technical SEO, on-page optimization, and content strategy
- Experience with tools such as Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Screaming Frog
- Strong analytical skills and ability to turn research into actionable insights
- Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain attention to detail
- Strong writing skills for structured long-form content
- Curiosity about generative AI and its impact on search
Bonus Experience
- Experience analyzing AI-generated responses or LLM outputs
- Familiarity with schema markup, entity optimization, and structured data tools
- Understanding how AI models extract and reference web information
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript
- Experience working with B2B or enterprise clients
Why This Role Is Unique
AI-driven discovery is rapidly changing how buyers research vendors.
While most marketing teams still focus on traditional search rankings, Zen Media is helping define a new discipline: AI Visibility.
In this role, you will help develop strategies that improve how brands appear in AI-generated answers across multiple platforms, placing you at the forefront of a major shift in digital marketing.
What’s Your Next Step?
If you are passionate about SEO and the future of AI-driven discovery, we’d love to hear from you.
You’ll join a team helping global B2B brands improve their visibility in the evolving AI search ecosystem.

Tips for Your Seo Specialist Job Search
Quantify your SEO wins specifically
Recruiters scan for numbers, so replace vague claims with specifics: the percentage organic traffic grew, how many keywords moved to page one, or how long ranking improvements held. Metrics tied to revenue or lead volume carry the most weight in job descriptions.
Show a technical and content mix
Many seo specialist listings require both on-page content skills and technical fluency with site audits, crawl data, and Core Web Vitals. Your resume should demonstrate you can move between both without framing yourself as purely one or the other.
Build a portfolio with audit samples
A short case study showing a real site audit, the issues you flagged, and the changes you recommended is far more persuasive than a list of tools on a resume. Anonymize client data where needed, but keep the methodology visible and your reasoning clear.
Apply early to roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists seo specialist openings from across the United States in one place, so you can find roles that match and apply directly to each listing.
Filter by the tools each job requires
Job postings for seo specialists routinely specify Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, or Looker Studio. Tailor each application to reflect the exact tools listed, and prepare to demo your workflow in those tools during a technical screen.
Prepare for a live SEO audit exercise
Many hiring teams ask candidates to audit a page or small site during the interview, either live or as a take-home. Practice walking through a structured audit aloud: crawlability, indexation, on-page signals, internal linking, and a prioritized fix list with rationale.
Seo Specialist Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies are hiring the most seo specialists?
The companies hiring the most seo specialists right now include Ingersoll-Rand, Dal-Tile, and Florida Gulf Coast University, with the largest share of openings in Texas, North Carolina, and California, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Industries such as e-commerce, digital media, and SaaS companies tend to post the highest volume of seo specialist roles consistently.
How many seo specialist jobs are remote?
About 39% of seo specialist openings are fully remote or hybrid as of June 2026, making it one of the more flexible roles in digital marketing. Sub-areas focused on content strategy, link building, and analytics tend to have the highest share of remote availability, while roles requiring close collaboration with dev or product teams are more often hybrid or on-site.
How do you become a seo specialist?
Start by learning the fundamentals of how search engines crawl, index, and rank content, then get hands-on experience through a personal site, freelance project, or volunteer work for a small business. Build familiarity with tools like Google Search Console and at least one third-party platform, document results you can point to, and pursue practical certifications to signal foundational knowledge to employers.
Can you get hired as a seo specialist with little experience?
Yes, entry-level seo specialist roles exist, especially at agencies and startups, and hiring managers often prioritize demonstrated initiative over years of experience. Building a case study from a personal or volunteer project, showing you understand keyword research and on-page fundamentals, and being able to speak to tools you've used hands-on will carry more weight than a long resume with no tangible results.
What does the seo specialist interview process look like?
Most seo specialist interviews include an initial recruiter screen, a hiring manager conversation focused on your background and past results, and a technical or skills assessment. The assessment often involves a live or take-home audit of a sample page or site, where you identify issues and propose prioritized fixes. Some employers also ask candidates to present a brief strategy or walk through a past campaign in a final round.
Where can I find and apply to seo specialist jobs?
You can find and apply to seo specialist jobs on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from across the United States in one place. Find roles that match your experience level and specialization, then apply directly to each listing without leaving the platform.
