Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and strategic Digital Marketing & Brand Manager to lead the online presence and brand development for a dynamic multi-brand small business. This role offers an exciting opportunity to craft compelling digital campaigns, optimize online visibility, and drive growth across various platforms. As a key driver of our marketing initiatives, you will harness your expertise in digital tools, content creation, and analytics to elevate our brands and connect with target audiences effectively. Your innovative approach and technical proficiency will ensure our brands stand out in competitive markets while delivering measurable results.
Job Overview – Digital Marketing & Brand Manager
GardeningDash LLC is seeking a creative, organized, and technically capable Digital Marketing & Brand Manager to help develop and manage the digital presence of our growing family of landscaping and outdoor-service brands.
GardeningDash LLC serves as the parent company for GardeningDash Landscaping & Lawn Care, Flowerbeds & Gardens, and Trim Trees & Shrubs. Each brand has its own identity and website while operating under the GardeningDash family of companies.
The Digital Marketing & Brand Manager will work directly with the owner to establish a professional and consistent digital presence across all three brands. This includes website development and management, domain configuration, business email setup, social media management, Google Business Profiles, SEO, digital advertising, branding, and coordination of the company's business telephone and extension system.
We are looking for someone who can take ownership of our digital infrastructure rather than simply manage social media. The ideal candidate understands how to organize multiple brands under one parent company while maintaining a distinct identity for each business.
This position requires in-person collaboration in the Columbia/Blythewood, South Carolina area, particularly during the initial setup and development of the company's digital systems.
The successful candidate should be comfortable working with platforms such as GoDaddy, Wix or WordPress, Google Workspace, Google Business Profile, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and business telephone platforms such as RingCentral or Nextiva.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys helping a growing small business build its brand, marketing systems, online presence, and customer acquisition strategy from the ground up.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on website management tasks involving HTML, CSS, JavaScript or SQL as needed for technical adjustments or enhancements.

Tips for Your Digital Marketing Director Job Search
Quantify channel results on your resume
Digital marketing director candidates who convert marketing outcomes into numbers stand out immediately. Replace vague phrases like 'grew social presence' with specific channel performance gains, pipeline contribution, and budget managed so hiring managers can gauge your scope.
Tailor your portfolio to the company's model
B2B and B2C hiring teams look for entirely different work. Before applying, pull two or three case studies that match the company's go-to-market model, whether that's lead generation, e-commerce conversion, or brand awareness, and make those examples easy to find.
Apply early to roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists digital marketing director openings from across the United States in one place, so you can find roles that match and apply directly to each listing.
Filter openings by tech stack requirements
Many digital marketing director roles specify a preferred martech stack in the job description. Prioritize applications where your hands-on experience with the company's tools, such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, or Adobe Experience Cloud, is a direct match rather than a training opportunity.
Prepare a cross-functional leadership example
Interviewers at the director level consistently ask how you've aligned marketing with sales, product, or finance. Have a ready example that shows you drove agreement across teams, managed competing priorities, and delivered a measurable outcome, not just completed a project.
Negotiate total compensation, not just base pay
Director offers often include equity, performance bonuses, and budget authority that shift the total value significantly. Understand what each component means before your first negotiation conversation so you can ask informed questions and compare offers on the same terms.
Digital Marketing Director Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies are hiring the most digital marketing directors?
The companies hiring the most digital marketing directors right now include C-4 Analytics, Ring Ring Marketing, and aptim, with the largest share of openings in Texas, Florida, and California, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Industries driving the most demand include technology, healthcare, and retail.
How many digital marketing director jobs are remote?
About 62% of digital marketing director openings are fully remote or hybrid as of August 2026, making it one of the more location-flexible leadership roles in marketing. Demand generation, SEO strategy, and content-led roles tend to offer the most remote options, while brand and event-heavy positions more often require an in-office presence.
How do you become a digital marketing director?
Most digital marketing directors move up by building deep expertise in one or two channels first, then expanding into cross-channel ownership and budget responsibility. Taking on team leadership at the manager level, developing reporting skills that connect marketing activity to revenue, and staying current on platform changes and attribution modeling all accelerate the path to a director title.
Can you get a digital marketing director job without prior director experience?
Yes, especially if you've functioned as a director in everything but title. Hiring managers at this level focus heavily on demonstrated ownership: managing a team, controlling budget, setting strategy, and reporting results to senior leadership. Candidates who can show that scope of responsibility through a senior manager or head-of role regularly make the jump without a previous director title.
What does the digital marketing director interview process look like?
Most processes start with a recruiter screen, followed by a hiring manager conversation focused on your strategic thinking and channel experience. Later rounds typically include a case study or marketing audit presentation to the leadership team, plus interviews with cross-functional partners in sales or product. References and a final executive conversation close out the process for most companies.
Where can I find and apply to digital marketing director jobs?
